One of the things about
bulk mail is that it gets processed when there is time, so sometimes
bundles will sit around for a couple of days before they get split up
and sent on.
I had noticed that when my regular mailman was on vacation, I only got
stuff with real stamps -- the bills and magazines and junk mail were
left until he came back. He was not happy when I explained to him WHY
there was always an extra ton of mail his first day back; it wasn't his
imagination.
But the worst was receiving a March issue of Newsweek in September.
