I haven't found a site that shows how to do this, but I have done a few
bookmarks myself. There is actual cross stitch bookmak fabric that you can get
with the sides already secure, and to finish the top of bottom of it, run a
back stitch along from one side the the other and then fray the edges - it
works great.
