What I don't like about FMQ machine,

I'm afraid my favorite easy one is a large meander pattern. Perhaps that is
cheating?

What I don't like about FMQ machine, was Free Motion Quilters....

I don't like FMQ at all, whether on my Juki 98 or Viking Platinum, because
it just doesn't feel right. I know, not very scientific. The Viking seems to
have too many "finicky" problems. The Juki does...

Free Motion Quilters....

I use my Juki 98 with stitch regulator and needle down on a HandiQuilter 2
frame. I still don't care for the quilting part of making a quilt. And here
I sit, with two quilt tops done and both...

Tin Lizzie 18

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with a Tin Lizzie 18? I have a
Handi-Quilter frame with a Juki 98 and am considering trading up. Any
reviews will be greatly appreciated.

you have to be kidding me?

We have drying racks in our spare room that we use, but if I had room
outside I would really use an outdoor one instead. I would not mind at all
if my neighbors hung their laundry outside either,...

What do you do with an ugly quilt in progress?

I agree with others: this is NOT an ugly quilt! I've used that pattern many,
many times and usually have an "ugh" feeling until I'm all done.

NOT ugly!

Opinions needed quick -- it's not pretty

Are we talking about the green and white check? I know the feeling of not
liking the back of a quilt (only too well), but it looks fine. You should
wash the quilt and send it on to its lucky...

Oh, yes, I have that same urge. I think I'm only about 10 cones right now,
though. Okay, maybe 12.

I also have problems with the chemicals they use at beauty salons, but I
only get headaches from them. My...

Venturing into new territory - Y seams

A bunch of great ideas, and thank you so much! I'll let everyone know how it
goes once I get to that part. I see that practice is going to be important.

I'm making a jelly roll stars pattern and the stars are coming out great. I
am, however, nearing the time when I need to set in the Y seam sections and
I can feel my anxiety rising up. I've only...

I checked at our WalMart both in hardware/paint and in the laundry section
and they didn't have any cotton clothesline rope. Rats! Our store isn't a

Is patience required?

I used to say: "Patience is a virtue.... I don't have"

My hubby says: "Patience is a vulture."

Gotta love it!

A lil bit OT Speaking of Christmas gifts...

Cindy, you are so right. I've had the most pleasant outcome from the most
horrible "what was I thinking" fabric.

I am so impressed with how tidy your room is. Wow, you can really see all
the beautiful colors of thread on display. It is like a work of art!

OT? Cotton Clothesline

Yes, I am also addicted. I get my cotton clothesline at Ace Hardware, but
only because it is the only place I've been able to find it. And, believe
me, I have looked.
