Petit point on Penelope 10/20

What is considered the best thread to do petit point on 10/20 Penelope canvas to detail faces , hands etc, the rest of the design is done in wool.
I would like to know the brand, ply and needle size...

I have no directions. I really meant petit point. I have done everything in wool which is why I thought I should now use crewel wool which is much finer.
