but don't let it be completely off putting. Most sewing machines are

What I've been up to
For those that remember I'm finally feeling normal after delivering the
last baby. Thyroid is normal although I'm still 25pounds over weight. Dr
says not to stress cuz I can't fit my thyroid....

I'm not sure I follow you Anne. But my class with Diane taught me
about using wow anywhere on your quilt...front or back. As a backing,
some of them are rather sticky and can cause some drag...
