T-shirt quilt - HELP!

I have read where several or more of you have made a t-shirt quilt and
that you backed the t-shirt material with an iron-on interfacing. OK!!!
Since I didn't pay any attention to the type of iron-on that is best to
use, would someone be so kind as to give me a clue? Please???
My daughter-in-law in Calif. has sent me a number of t-shirts that
were my son's and I told her I would make her a quilt with them.
Sure I will, if only I knew what iron-on to use. TIA

I've never made one, but found a web site that may be helpful:

T-shirt quilt - HELP!

Also try, http://www.goosetracks.com/T-Shirt%2...tructions.html
I used lightweight non-woven fusible interfacing onthe backs of the shirts
and then I just sashed the shirt blocks.
HTH!

T-shirt quilt - HELP!

Thanks Michelle. I was concerned as to whether or not I should use the
lightweight non woven or if I should use the medium weight. Figured that
the medium weight might make the t-shirt fabric a little too stiff. Don't
want that to happen. Since I already have some of the light weight, I'll
be able to start on it whenever I want to - like, after the holidays because
I have too many other things to get done before time.
And, yes, planned on sashing the blocks or possibly even setting the t-shirt
fabric on point and making blocks that way. Still in the planning stage,
for
sure.
Thanks again.
