Happy New Ears, Everyone

Happy New Year and many more of them......
May pots flow from your fingers like water after rain
May your wheel never run dry
May your clay never freeze
May your kiln never get stuck
May the world be good to you
All the days of your life.......
Hugs
Eddie

Same back to you! (I'm still trying to figure out though what happened to
the year.... Shouldn't it still be early spring?)

and

May you learn to see the beauty in your pots that did not come out the way
your minds eye had planned!

May you learn something new about yourself and/or your pots!

May give yourself many pats on the back for a job well done!

And may your glazes do everything you want them to do, and more!

I am reminded of the comment by an excellent Potter I worked with this
October named Euan Craig, who said: " I find the difference between a good
pot and a bad pot is about a week!!"

Take care all.

The problem is going to be that it loses it's water and layering. They clay
particles themselves would have to be too small to 'damaged' by the ice
crystals but the nice layers you get from wedging would be shot to hell. I
assume if it does not become dehydrated that you can simply rewedge it -
otherwise you would have to completely dry it out, break it up, add it to
water then either drain it in a sack or on a plasterboard to wedging
consistency. I have never had clay freeze so I am mostly BSing here. Donna
