Can you imagine succeeding as a glass artist?

"I have had a listing on your site for some time now. Since it was
free to post my info and link to my site I did not expect to get much
in return in terms of jobs or calls. Recently I had requested an
update of my biography. You updated the page very quick and
accurately. Then, out of the blue I get an email for a job estimate
and they said they found me on your site! I was
thrilled to say the least. Iım working on a $5600 job that I got from
a FREE listing at www.thedigitalartist.com. Thank you very much!"

Oh what a shame - from the subject I thought it would be some
interesting info or a story about how someone had graduated into being
a fulltime stained glass artist after learning as a hobby!!
But it was only an advert!
Should I enrol on their programme and make a fortune?
Maybe instead I should contact those nice people in Nigeria who are
desperate to buy oodles of items from our inventory but need me to
send them our website url so they can see what we sell - and btw they
will be paying by credit card!

After 25 years of doing it for a living, I still can't imagine succeeding as
a glass artist.

yep.... Depends how you define success I suppose. I'm healthy, happy, and
have my season ski pass at Sun Valley and free time to use it. I only work
in glass and have been since '72..... but ..... I don't do it for the money,
I do it for the glass.... Only!

I could make more money trading stocks, but I would personally consider that
a complete waste being alive. Create to live.... then live.

cheers, Jacques Bordeleau
