Lava cloth

Has anyone here used lava cloth with irrid. glass? I was wondering if I
would have to use a higher temp. because the irrid. coating is rather stiff.

I haven't used lava cloth but have done kiln castings over ceramic
paper with irid glass and expect it would be the same. The same
firing schedules apply for irid as for non-irid but be aware that when
you fire irid, the metallic surface cracks up (looking like it was
shattered) wherever it bends over small arcs.
