My AC Moore and the LYS

SlinkyToy,

I know what you mean about the changing faces of the yarn stores. My LYS is
going into DMC and Anchor threads now and doing away with a lot of yarn, what
they are carrying is the Paton yarns. I asked about their Red Heart and she
said they were fazing it out. Not nice, but I'll be watching their bins for the
discontinued skeins. Now yesterday at AC Moore I thought for sure I could get
some Red Heart Super Sport Yarn, but didn't find any. I asked the clerk who
works in that department and she told me they no longer carry it and the yarns
are slowing being fazed out for as you say, the novelty yarns. They had that on
sale, but I prefer the worsted weight better. I did buy some Starbright yarn to
have on hand, just in case DH decides he wants a sweater.

Hugs,

Nora

Funny how things change, I do find that we have much more knitting yarns
now and less and less weaving yarns. I do have to go mailorder in order
to get the special stuff to weave with. I also find the knitting is very
popular here. "The Loom", my fiber store, is always full with knitters
