Triangle Furnace Glass Slices?
Ok, I have a bunch of these, and am coming up dead in the water as to what to
do with them!! They are such beautiful hunks o'glass, but I need some inspiration... any ideas?... The Blessed Fiddy, Patroness Saint of the Disorganized LC in Sunny So Cal Personality Development Specialist (Full-Time Mom!) |
I used some in the bracelet I made for the bracelet swap.

I use the new Beadalon gold flexible wire and use it as a single bead on the
necklace. These are really pretty. Roxan "LC aka Fiddy" wrote in message ... Ok, I have a bunch of these, and am coming up dead in the water as to what to do with them!! Ok, but the ones I have are like...hmmmm...how do I describe them?
Well, they're triangular in shape, very thinly sliced, and more like a wedge of pie shape with a VERY large hole in the middle... They won't work threaded on anything...I'm thinking I'm going to weave some peyote strips and then weave the strips in and through...they're....cumbersome, but loverly!! How about hanging them on silver or gold-filled chains for earrings?

I gotta play... The Blessed Fiddy, Patroness Saint of the Disorganized LC in Sunny So Cal Personality Development Specialist (Full-Time Mom!) |
What about stacking a few on wire, and attaching it much like charms to a
bangle? Or, making one heck of a light catcher by stringing and knotting them at random intervals on a whole bunch of strings, then hang that puppy in the window. ~Candace~ Orphan Beads Low cost and bartering for the financially challenged beader:) http://snipurl.com/6s4t |

I love hanging junk from my trees!! The Blessed Fiddy, Patroness Saint of the Disorganized LC in Sunny So Cal Personality Development Specialist (Full-Time Mom!) |
My favorite use for furnace glass is to take fine chain, snip it into
1 inch pieces, wire-wrap a swarovski crystal onto 1 end of a section, thread the furnace glass onto the piece of chain and then wire-wrap another crystal onto the other end of the piece of chain, and repeat. In the end you have a chain necklace with crystals interspersed and pieces of furnace glass sliding around between the crystals. very fluid, very pretty. I love jewelry that has motion to it. What I was describing is like hanging them on a chain. This new gold soft
flex wire looks like fine gold chain and look wonderful with just one bead hanging from it. Roxan "Carla" wrote in message link.net...
