PillowFight4Cancer/A must read

Ladies..... check this out. In my cancer goodie package I rec'd this soft
pillowcase. I read up on her website and and she is a local girl in my
area. It all began when her Grandmother got breast cancer. I don't want
to give it away.... I want you to be as touched as I was... but here's the
site.
It would be nice if we all "squished" her with fabric for the pretty border
she puts on them. I am so touched this young gal started this.

Be sure and read her inspiration story..grab a tissue...I had to yell to
Alan to get me one!

Pami, I had no idea you were in NY! And I love this website and the
idea of squishing Libbie with fabric. I just bought a bunch of really
cute fabric to make some regular pillowcases, and as soon as I am
finished I'll go through and pull out some in the correct size to send
to her for her project.

Thanks for the heads up!

I loved this site as well...I hope everybody finds it. If you all send her
some fabric maybe you can say in support of Pami from Marlboro, NY, so
she knows I am sending people her way.. I also will fund her cause...she
sounds like one sweet girl. My pillowcase is yellow. That fuzzy fabric is
so nice...I am going to have a fight with my cat about this pillow...she can
have the 220 count cotton.....hehehehehe

The vein they put the port in is so SORE today....oh my goodness...

I will try to remember to do that for you! Yellow eh? I hope your cat
isn't black!

Did they give you any tips or tricks to help with the port site? Maybe
some ice or something? It sounds awful, but I hope you know that you
are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. Take it as easy as you can
and just get well!

IIRC The soreness only lasted a couple of days. Just relax and don't
stretch out too much. BTDT, Linda

The vein in the port site has a bubble like...it's painful...I almost think
they should ultrasound the neck. I just hope it's not a clot. It feels
like a varicoise ven...knotty....between the mastectomy pain and the
neck....I see the doctor on Wednesday.

I can't stretch the neck.....it feels like a rubber band and it's so
tender. Last night I put an ice pack on it. I did this so chemo would be
easier and I knew my veins are horrible. I almost think I'd rahter of been
stuck every 3 weeks..

Oh no Pami. The port will save your veins. The chemo is very strong and
harsh on those little veins. Push you doctor to check your port problem. I
never regretted it for one second.

Hugs, Linda
