diamond: purchase online?
Is it OK to purchase a loose diamond on-line? It seems you'd get a lower
price and greater variety, but the big disadvantage is that you wouldn't be able to look at the stone. (Of course, presumably, there'd be some time period during which it could be shipped back...and you'd want someone local to appraise the stone) If you buy locally, how much above the prices online should you be willing to pay? |

If you find someone that has sold tons of items and has been around long enough you should have no problem getting your money back if there is a problem. If it has been verified by EGL goto http://www.eglusa.com/ and type in its number. Have it appraised for yourself as soon as you get it. Eric |
