Last month, at MAQF, I bought a 1/4" foot with a guide (like a rudder) on
the side. It is FANTASTIC! I paid about $25.00 and it was worth every penny.
I had purchased a similar foot for Pfilomina Pfaff, at the recommendation of
one of our RCTQ gang (probably Jennell,) so I knew it was a good thing. I
also recommend the reprinted manuals by Nancy Johnson Srebro, as they
contain lots of good information in addition to the basic manual. NAYY.

My Janome has one of those, and I don't like it because when you are
doing anything other than joining two pieces together it has a hard
time going over the "bumps".

We'll see how I like the little foot on the FW. I really like the
regular foot on the FW, but then I need some way of telling where 1/4
is!

That is a beauty of a FW Tina. Great gift. There are several
1/4" feet around once you get to looking. One will work just right for
you. I don't have the little foot but there is a similar one made (maybe
by alphasew) that I like. I bet most sewing machine shops have several
types.

I have both and the design of the pfaff foot is much more "rocker" style
and you don't get the bump. It even works well when you have pins
sticking out to the right. There is also one for Vikings.
