Happy Mother's Day

Wishing everyone on RCB - moms, moms-to-be, nurturers, Earth mothers,
goddeses - a very happy and loving Mother's Day.

For those of you whose moms are still here, make this the year that you make
every day mother's day for her. Don't wait for one day of the year to tell
her you love her or show her you care. Spend as much time as you can with
her NOW because you never know when that time may end. If distance separates
you, call her. Every day, if possible. And tell her, TELL HER, how much she
means to you.

For those at odds with your mothers, this might be the time to resolve those
differences. If you can't, I apologize, and didn't mean to offend.

This is my first mother's day without my mom here, and I'm missing her so
much. I still tell her every day that I love her and I'll be visiting her
Sunday with balloons and flowers to place at her headstone.

I told her every single day on the phone or in person that I loved her. I
have no regrets about that. She knew, and she loved me, too.

The healing comes more easily when there are few regrets. Letting the people
in your life know you love them, whether in words or actions feels good now,
and after they pass from this life as well.
Thank you for reminding us of this simple, yet so very important lesson.
Happy Mothers, or UnMothers day to everyone.

Awwwwwwwwww. Thank you Linda. I think you and your mom were very lucky to
have each other.

I don't know what our plans are, but I'm just looking forward to spending
the day with hubby and daughter this weekend!

My mom, dead 3 years this past April, said "I love you" as I was hanging up
the phone with her. She had already said it once, I replied and she said it
again.

2 hours later, she dropped dead.

As Linda said, say it, say it often, let those be the last words you speak to
each other.

Thank you Mom, I love you. And thank you (again) to all of you for the
hardest work the world knows.

Just before I read this, I had called my mother to tell her I love her. And
I don't often phone.
