My deepest sympathies for your loss. My Sterling died of the same thing.
We too put him to sleep. It was the greatest gift I could give him. No more
suffering. You will always have good memories of him. We often speak of
the animals that are gone with fond remembrances. The roses are a...

With so much repetition, I've forgotten how to do anything else ... by
DeB Shaw
I've done tons of PPP lately, and decided to do some simple pinwheels today.
Seems it's not-so-simple anymore. *sigh* I can get everything to match up,
without any problems ... but just can't seem to get my block size correct.
I've come up short 5 times now ... so guess what? ... I'm PP'ing that...

climbing trips turns on topic by
Lisa Ellis
I've been climbing near Lake Tahoe, CA, for the past few days. The trip
was great! Even, better, it included some quilts!
My friend Jen and I left a bit earlier than we planned because of a
thunder storm Sunday afternoon. As we drove through Placerville, she
spotted a quilt shop (and she...

Prayers and good thoughts, please by
Monique Reed
I got a diagnosis of cervical cancer on Friday and I'm off to the
oncologist tomorrow. Don't know much yet except it's not the
relatively-easy-treat-stage-0-squamous-cell kind.
(Dear friend needs some good thoughts, too--he was laid off on short
notice today, a victim of the state budget...

Irish Vasectomy
After having their 11th child, an Irish couple decided that was enough,
as they could not afford a larger bed. So the husband went to his doctor
and told him that he and his wife didn't want to have any more children.
The doctor told him there was a procedure called a vasectomy...

RE; Lone Star using HST by
CHARLES MURPHY
There was a pattern published several years ago for a Lone star- like quilt,
I have a copy of the picture if that would help.
Also for those who want to make a lone star QNM published instructions inMay

Another Applique Question by
Jacquard_The_Ripper
Okay, I'm going to do a little applique project to practice my
applique. I'm going to do some hearts on some 6" squares, one heart
per square. Do the 6" squares risk fraying while I'm handling them?
If so, how should I approach it?
Thanks,
Cynthia
