associated with in any way other than being subscribed to it.
It has an article on free motion quilting which I thought might help those
of us who are unsure what to...

my favorite thing by
Polly Esther[_5_]
I just washed and half way dried a little quilt. Patted it out on the
kitchen counter and loved it a little while. I think that's called blocking
and it did receive a tug or two. And a prayer for God to bless the little
one who will be hugged in it - or will chew it - or leak pureed spinach.

OT Appropriate for this week-end by

This was sent to me today, and it is a real tissue warning. Brings many
tears, but is a wonderful story. I've seen other variations, but this is
the nicest.

Need help on a block by
GrammyKathy[_3_]
Hope I can explain this right.I want to make a 9" 2 color block using
4 1/2 sq
triangles. What size do I need to cut the squares? If I had all my
quilting
stuff here I would be able to get the information, but I don't.

First quilt finished on the frame! by
IMS[_6_]
Just finished the first quilt quilted on my 'new to me' Inspira frame
and Pfaff Grand quilter. I'd been practicing for weeks and finally
got the courage up to give it a go on the 'real thing.'
This Christmas wall hanging has been sitting in a drawer for almost
four years as I pondered how to...

OT wierd question by
NightMist
We were talking while my DH was doing some electronic repairs for a
client, and came around to a question that has nagged us for years.
When people throw away things that have a power cord, why do they often
cut the cord off?
They do it on everything from refrigerators to radios, and I have...

OT where's the snow? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
This year we've had drought. Today brought rain, violent lightening,
thunderous thunder, hail, a tornado about 3 miles away and now flash flood
warnings. When the hail started pelting the big (really big) window, I put a
heavy quilt over the Bernina closeby because the glass panes are old and...

Well, my nights on call recently have been quiet so I have managed to
work on and finish a samper quilt that has been in the works for a
while. This is a gift to my Godparents.
Hope they like it!

Need cell phone advice for quilting apps by
Susan Laity Price
I must purchase a new cell phone soon and was thinking of one of the
fancier ones with quilting apps. If you don't use fancy technology
please don't bother to reply. I really want to hear from those that
have and use cell phones with internet capabilities. What features do
you use?

Cherry stones - not OT by
Janner
I wanted to make some patchwork chickens and the likes and the pattern
says to use peas/lentils/plastic beads for weight - ie so they sit down.
Do you think that I could wash & dry the cherry stones that I have and
use them?
I think that in the climate we have here that the pulses would be ate...

OT Special Olympics Today by
NightMist
We went and our lad was much less cranky about it than the last couple of
years. I chalk that up to it actually being warm, and better
organization so he didn't have to wait in line forever for events. he
actually had a good time this year.
This year's hero was a tiny little guy who did the...
