I have a something I would like to post but I don't know if it's ok to post it or not (it's nothing dirty or anything like that and it has to do with yarn..well kind of..) Anyway, I didn't want to just go post it without asking? Is, there a group owner that I could ask if it's ok to post what I...

I need some reassurance - gauge by Padishar Creel
I am attempting my first sweater and gauge is very important according to the instructions and everyone I have ever talked knitting. Anyway, the gauge calls for casting on 18 stitches and do 27 rows of stockinet with number 8 needles. My concerns: The cast on row does not count as a row, correct?

Twisted knitted mystery solved by Madelaine
I recently bought this book/DVD combo: Bead Knitted Bags by Prett, Julia S. I now know why I was knitting twisted--it is because I had been bead knitting, where every stitch is twisted to hold the bead, and I just got in the habit. It really helps to have videos/DVDs to be able to look at what...

Doll measurement chart by Kirsten Watson
I know someone asked about doll measurements a while ago, so as I just ran across this sizing chart, I thought I'd pass it on: http://www.morrisseyagency.com/dolls/sizechart.html It's not completely exhaustive by any means; I don't see Barbie on there for a start (and that's the doll I've...

Chinese balls by Carol In WI
I have a set of those, they make a sound the faster you go, I can turn them around in one direction, I tried the other and I guess I'm not coordinated cause they like landing on the floor. They say you find your "Chi" with use of them but I like the exercise of it all. Carol In WI

Yarn substitution question by Karlisa
I am thinking of making a pattern from the book Knit 2 Together by Tracy Ullman and Mel Clark. It's a cool-looking doctor bag style purse and the stitch is a herringbone. The pattern uses Manos del Uruguay yarn, which I simply cannot afford at $12.50 per skein because it calls for 7 skeins....

Chinese balls by Carol In WI
My step mom gave me a set, nice box to keep them in. I've never juggled them, but when holding them all in one hand and move them, with out touching them together takes practice. Mine have a nice sound to them, the faster you move them the more sound. I think it's good to use them to help...

Another Moebius by Bernadette
Well, I've started the next one! It is easier this time as I feel more confident about how it will turn out. Having said that, I did make a mistake when I was picking up the purl "bumps" so there was a most unpleasant "Grebbit" until I started it again (lol) - and got it right that time. It is...
