Prayers needed by
Sandy Foster
Some of you may remember that I've mentioned once or twice that my DT
(that's my twin sister) is temporarily living in China. This week is a
holiday week there, and she and DBIL booked a trip to Bali, arriving
yesterday. If you've read the news today, you know that there were some
suicide bombers...

Poke First National
I ordered the kit to Jewel of the Prairie from Fons and Porter site and have
just been notified that it is no longer available. This was to have been my
project while at a patchwork retreat in mid-October. Sob, sob, sniff,
sniff. Have any of you made this beautiful quilt?
Would anyone want to...

looks easy enough!
But with anything I have a few questions ( roll your eyes and get ready)
First I should ask what type of Thread do I need to use?
I do know that the thread should match the pieces.

Scrap Users' site by
frood
This site was posted on my guild's message board, and I thought it was very
interesting. http://www.quiltville.com/scrapusersystempf.html
I read the whole "system" thru, and while it would be daunting to consider
converting my entire scrap basket to strips and squares at once, it is
something I...

The prayers worked!! by
Kim E
A few weeks ago, I posted that my 96 year old grandmother had fallen
out of bed and was in the hospital. After 5 days in the hospital, she
was transferred to a nursing home. She had 2 weeks of physical therapy
in the nursing home and made such incredible progress that they kicked
her out! She...

question about down by
quietreef
Hi the
I'm an intermediate quilter and I would like to get some advice from
you folks. I'm pushing the envelope and I would like to start making
some projects with down.
I read everything I could find across on the web and I cannot find an
answer to my question. Where can I buy down in bulk?...

Need Help Making Neat Corners by
Donna Gennick
I'm trying to finish a quilt by turning the front edges to the back
(turning twice to hide raw edge) and sewing it down, but I can't figure
out how to reliably make a neat corner. This is the third quilt I have
done this way, and I've wasted lots of time trying to get the corners right.
I've...

Since we've been talking about Jacob's Ladder, I thought I'd play around

version of Jacob's Ladder demo: click on the picture of the screen on the
lower right to run the presentation, and allow the animations to run before

Pinning a Sleeve by
Betsy Ross
Due to circumstances beyond my
control...
I have to pin a sleeve on a quilt for a
show. The sleeve is a tube. Do I pin
along both the top and bottom, same
frequency of pins? What frequency?
Distance from the top of the quilt? Any
other hints?
