Our church's annual "garage sale" is going on now, and I glomed onto
some really nice cotton fabrics for my stash! I bought every hunk
that was cotton, of course, and wound up with almost 15 yards for
$4.50. Some had apparently been washed, and some had not, so all of
them are in the washing...

i had a moment of insanity & bought 4 skeins of Orenburg
laceweight (80% kidd mohair 20% silk), 2 are natural & 2 are
handpaint in pale green, tan, grey, pale blue (the Cherry tree

Went by a shop that sells `presents` they had a Bunch of knitted Pot
holders ,, i asked about it and the woman said , This is a NEW
RAGE ,,,,,,I sure hope so ,, as this was always a favorite thing for

All fabrics end up getting spilt on it seems. I believe in using low
tech natural materials as much as possible, there are lots of natural
material stain removers one has around the house. Such as baking soda
and vinegar to name two. The J & O Fabric Store had a really good post
