Wool gathering by
Penny Gaines
There are a few flocks of sheep near where we live, and sometimes when
I go for walks in Spring, I see bits of fleece caught on bushes and
fences.
I've developed a yearning to gather up some of this fleece, and spin it
into a... well probably a very short scarf, but maybe something...

I need to sell about 70 pounds of raw alpaca fleeces!!! by
[email protected]
I'm an alpaca farmer with too much raw fleece ...my spouse wants the
living room to be "free of alpaca fleeces" sooner than later. I still
have both huacaya and suri available. I have some very nice white
fleeces; lots of good black fleeces and a good selection of fawns,
grays, and browns. I...

looking for references on restoring spinning wheel by
YW
Hello,
I just subscribed to this group planning to revive my hobby from many
years ago of knitting and maybe other crafts.
I'm also looking for some help to restore an antique spinning wheel I
found in the basement of my in-laws. Can anybody reference me ,
considering that I'm located in Brooklyn,...

To knit on US10.5 (6.5mm) needles.
So heres the loaded questions, either where can I buy this online in the UK,

Dec 2005 6x6 received from Christine by
Penny Gaines
I got my 6x6 from Christine yesterday.
There is a blue one, with a fairly subtle variagation. There is a
pink/orange/blue square, which is in gorgeous colours. There is
also an orange/yellow/cream tatted bookmark in a really pretty
pattern. She also sent a postcard of the village where she...

Size 50 knitting needles by
norabalcer
Hi Everyone,
I just read the latest online newsletter from Lion Brand and they are
selling a pair of size 50 knitting needles to make a scarf in a hour.
They look way to big for what I would want to use, but then I thought
I'd never see needles larger then 19.
Hugs,
Nora

SNOW! by
Norma
(growl) One of my least favourite four letter words. We got over a foot
yesterday, and it looks like we are up to that again already today. I think
we are going to have a white Christmas, like most other years.

Spin-Off Loom Blooms by
Hazel
Read Jana Trent's areticle in Spin-off and had to try it. I've posted
a photo of my version on my blog if you'd like to see. I used my Tiny
Weaver square loom and I think it both faster and easier than the
needle woven loom she used. But in any case they are a fast and fun
weaving project you...

6x6 Friendly as ever by
Kari
Thankyou for the lovely warm welcome "home".
I see Nora is ListMom now and not Cher, or is that just 6x6 Mom?
It will take a little while longer before I rejoin 6x6, not quite set
up. All my yarn is still in packing crates and I haven't got my
Machine room all to myself, (yet!)

Bob & Carol
Help....looking a quick knit dog coat (it's for a Jack Russell so any
pattern will be quick) where you do not have to put he dogs legs through
'sleeves', just one that basically secures under the belly. And like some
others here I can't just make a square and put straps on it....I really do
need a...

Still about quick gifts LOL by
Anna MCM
Please have a look at:
http://youknitwhat.blogspot.com/
Maybe they are so quick that are to be considered work in progress and
the recipient has to finish the gift? Just wondering...
But, as someone there wrote, they match perfectly the spaghetti monster
hat! LOL
Warning: "F" word is used very...

FYI: Mission Falls yarn discontinued by
Soozergirl
I got onto the knitting harlot site and at some point, somewhere, saw that
Mission Falls would no longer be manufacturing their 1824 yarn. I had
purchased a MF pattern book a few years ago and was just waiting for the
time (hah!) to make shawl in it. It is the most gorgeous thing I've ever
seen! I...
