Seville oranges by
MargW
Hey Jim:
I noticed that my Metro (formerly Dominion) has Seville oranges. Just
in time for your annual marmalade making.
Me, I'm sticking with MaMade G Solves all the problems of getting the
rinds cuts thinly enough.

GeoBear. by
joyce
Hello, Mirjam. I'm anxiously awaiting the news that GeoBear has arrived
at your home. I's 2 weeks since I sent him off, and they told me it
could take 3 weeks, so I suppose I'm being a bit impatient, but with our
PO staff, I won't be at ease until I know he is there safely. 3 weeks
seems a...

If you're interested, I just uploaded some new photos (search for

include some projects I did for my sister in years past, which I was
able to photograph when I was out to WA...

Mostly OFF TOPIC - I'm back by
Cheryl Isaak
From St Albans VT - where DD had a hockey tourney. We drove up after school
on Thursday, had a good meal with several lovely drinks called "Goombay
Smashes" and hit the sack after the pool. It is a good three hour drive,
made quite interesting by Route 89 being completely dark for long stretches
-...

OT - Cheesy bread by
Bruce Fletcher
Maureen found this recipe in her "Good Housekeeping" book, I can vouch
for it's yumminess, and it "keeps" quite well.
225g (8 oz) self raising white flour
7.5ml (1.5 level tsp) salt
5ml (1 level tsp) mustard powder
5ml (1 level tsp) snipped fresh chives
15ml (1 tbsp) chopped fresh parsley
75g (3...

Update: My cat like Cheeto by
Jane Yeoman
This is a update on the fate on my young cat who looked like Cheeto. He
had swallowed something and had to have surgery to remove whatever it
was from the back of his nasal cavity.
Even though he made it through the surgery just fine, he had a coronary
attack and died shortly after waking...

Free answer to " How to access Usenet when your ISP stops carrying them" by
Fred
Olwyn Mary
IIRC Since you say you can connect to eternal-september.org you must have
jumped through most of the hoops.LOL
In Outlook Express click the Tools button at the top of the page.
Then click the newsgroup bar.
That opens up the newsgroups window.
You should see the account that you set up...

Floor Stand & Light by
Maureen Miller
Can anybody tell me please which is the sturdiest floor stand and
magnifying light for needlework? I didn't realize until lately how much
mickey-mousing I do with these things. I would like a magnifying glass
/ light that I can see 43 ct mesh with at night, and a floor stand that
won't keep...

Climate Change by
The Lady Gardener[_3_]
I've been reading all the various trials and tribulations of the
Northern Hemisphere's snow - here's a link to the exact opposite that
we've had the last few days.

ON TOPIC - what should I bring by
Cheryl Isaak
To stitch while away with DD to a hockey tournament.
We leave tomorrow after school, for three nights in a hotel. Margaret St
John has allowed me to borrow her portable Ott lamp, so maybe I should just
keep working on her baby dragons.
But part of me wants something "funner" to do, maybe the...

What I've been up to..... by
Cheryl Isaak
Well, first - I was on grand jury duty. Most educational and depressing.
But, I can find stash at the darnedest times. Went to check out the Chinese
place (won't go back) but did find Stitched In Stone - a quilt shop with
floss and yarn.
Also went to the Ben Franklin Ace Hardware in Raymond NH on...

Hey Everybody by

Just a quick "hello" to some friends will I was surfing around. Nice
to see the names :-) and know you all are still stiching away. I
haven't picked up a needle except to sew on a pants button or two
since I stopped designing.
I've been praying about getting back into the biz but see many...

Finishes by
Nancy
I finally finished the eyeglass case. Glad to get that
one out of the "basket." Also finished the turquoise
Celtic Knot bookmark. Hopefully I'll get pictures up
soon.
Now to decide what to do next. I had thought about
Little House Needleworks "The Old Doll," but the CC
floss I need is...
