sewing liner onto knitted wool shawl? by
sarab
I've made a rather large stockingknit stitch shawl that I appliqued w/
knitted leaves on one side - would like to line the inside to hide the
attaching stitches.
Not much of a seamstress, although I do own a machine. Cascade 220
wool used, so kinda bulky. How to do? Thanks!

My Old Knitting Rant by

Hi Everyone,
After reading the note from Noreen, I thought I would share this story
with all of you. A picture of the afghan is in my album under other
projects. http://tinyurl.com/9zab9
A woman that I used to work near knew that I did knitting and her DD
raised keeshound dogs. She had found this...

What to make with this yarn? by
Amber
This is far from an emergency situation, as I have plenty of other things on
the go, but I figured I'd ask here so I could consider the possibilities.
Something (okay, it was that fact that it was $5.00!) convinced me that I
needed to bring home a bag (1 pound/454 g) of mill ends of what looks to...

cashmere yarn by
Violetcobra
I wonder if anyone knows what the going rate is for cashmere yarn. I
have seen 120 yds in local shops for $23.00 (US). What would a really
good deal be for a baby hat, something rather fine, maybe 20 sts. to a
4"/10cm?

"Little box of sweaters" by

I picked this up yesterday, it's just out from Martingale, "The little box of
sweaters". http://ssl2.adhost.com/patchwork/merchant.cfm?pid=614&step=4
20 designs, and I liked at least 12 of them. I started on the "graceful
shell" http://www.martingale-pub.com/Catalog/B655_g3-2.jpg last night...

OT-Yarn Gremlins by
[email protected]
Nobody ever witnesses these little buggers, but they are out there.
Trust me. They have snuck into my stash made a mess. I have to spend
the rest of the morning straightening and re-winding. I suspect my
giant container of yarn was knocked over, but no one seems to know what
happened. It...

Wanted to learn something new last night... by
Qintes
so I finally opened my package of 4 double sided needles, cracked my
knitting book open, and learned to knit tubes. It took several attempts
to figure it out but then it went pretty smooth. I now have a pink tube
and a white tube. It took more concentration than knitting on 2 needles
and I...
