plastic container numbers by kellyK
I used to have a list of numbers for plastic containers... those with certain numbers inside a triangle were ok to store polymer clay, and other numbers were not ok..the clay would dissolve the plastic. I have looked all over (even glass attic) and can't find the list. Would someone post it -- it...

Ultrasonic cleaning? by Georgia
(I tried to post this yesterday, but it apparently got lost in cyberspace) Does anyone know how finished polymer clay (Future or Varathane) holds up to ultrasonic cleaning (e.g., in finished jewelry with sterling silver)? I gather it is in some sort of solution for some period of time, as well...

OT - DSL rocks! by Carla
Ok, the new room is shaping up, and now I'm zooming the internet. I feel like I've taken another small step into the 21st century :) The unpacking is going slowly (dumb job keeps expecting me to show up every day g). Hopefully, I'll be back to beadwork by week's end. It's been about a month...

Sources for clay? by Jono
Hi all I am relatively new to poly clay and was wondering where some of the best sources are for clay that is easy on the wallet? I do mostly figures and caricatures and have been using regular Sculpey from Wally-World, which is the only type they have here. I have to leech it out first because...

Hi everyone, I am new to the scene of polymer clays and have a few questions that I hope some of you might be able to help me with. I have been using Fimo Soft to create my wine charm product that I hope to market to local stores one day soon - it is very easy to use and requires virtually no...

Faux turquoise by enui
I found this tutorial about making faux turquoise http://www.jaedworks.com/clayspot/techniques/turquoise.html and I'm going to try it but I have a doubt: between step 3 and 4, do you wait for the paint to dry? -- enui

misbehaving Flecto? by Georgia
Is there a known negative interaction of Flecto and Kato clay? I put Flecto on some sanded and buffed flat pieces, and while it took fine to the ones made from (old) Fimo canes, it beaded up (and dried) on (new) Kato surfaces. Yecch! Should I have known this was going to happen?

Old vs new 'enhanced' inkjet paper by kellyK
I've been playing around with some epson Stylus-Pro printer paper (doing transfers), but I've noticed in Glass-Attic that the S041062 order-number switched 'formula' at some point. This paper I have is about 3 years old, so I'm assuming I have the 'old' kind. Is it still 'no go' with the...
