My Mom called me yesterday to tell me that my Dad is having surgery this

cancerous. So they are going to remove it and check his lymph nodes to see

OT - The thimble (joke) by
LN \(remove NOSPAM\)
One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her
thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and
asked, "My dear child, why are you crying?"
The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that
she needed it to help her husband...

Wool batting questions by
hfw
Just received the Hobbs wool batting I'd ordered, and it feels so yummy!
BUT...I'm totally intimidated by the care instructions. For instance, it
says that the quilt must be washed and rinsed AT THE SAME TEMPERATURE (their
emphasis)--and my washing machine only has cold rinse. And it has to...

I'm in the middle of making a duvet cover for DD's new down comforter. I
took the easy way out and bought two sheets and sewed the sides and bottoms
together WST. I sewed elastic loops inside the corners and sewed buttons on

Best Deal site by
Shopper
The best one I have found so far is www.whatsyourdeal.com
It's easy to use and they have great deals posted and all the latest
dollar and percent off coupons. I saved a ton last year buying the
stuff I would have normally bought.

Ok, I need a "How to Fix It" answer here! I use a single fold binding,
machine stitched 1/4" seam allowance and mitered corners. I put this one on
the front, stitched all around, mitered my corners perfectly (well...almost)
and ended the binding by tucking it and handstitching it to the...
