I spent the day working on some Sunbonnet Sue and Sam blocks today.
I managed to get 8 of them done. All together I now have 64 6" blocks

A family quilt exhibit ... long by
Pat in Virginia
Last week we had a family funeral here
where we live. Everyone else is out of
state now, so there were lots of
relatives staying in our home, or in
hotels. Either way, our house was the
'Central Point.' One of the Cousins in
Oregon makes quilts. She did not come,
but her DM & Sis were here....

Ok I'm back to share a happy thing. by
Fey
Had to take a break to get the house quilt sorted.
Finished the top and basted it to some batting and a backing fabric. I
have started in on the quilting. Now for the good part. I was
struggling with my lower end domestic machine - like if it would just
sew a stright line and not turn left when it...

Simple way to bind a quilt? by
Jim Moore
Hello all:

I have read several books on "How to bind a quilt" and really don't
understand any of them.
I used a walking foot to quilt with and it seemed to work fine. How ever I
am really stuck on how to hem...

marine quilt border update by
Toni Schneidt
Okay, I have finally decided, thanks to your help, as well as my dh and
neighbors. I am doing a rail fence border with a dark blue marble, a dark
red crackle, and an off white with tiny dark blue stars all over. The
off-white will be in the middle. The rail; blocks will be 6", so each strip...

Rocha marine quilt picture by
Toni Schneidt
Hey! I have the top almost done, no borders as of yet. I can't make up my
mind- Does the quilt need a flying geese border, or a HST border? I am
prepared for both, but need another opinion before I start cutting. I can
hear you, jeanne. Yeah, I thought I had my mind made up, too. But DH likes...

OT Tripping Chipmunks by
NightMist
We have a family of chipmunks living under the siding at the front of
the house. At least that is where we assume they are living since
that is where they zip off to when we disturb them on our front porch.
We have been watching them for a couple of months now. You can see
them almost every...

I have become interested in the work of Linda Straw and found her

The site outlines a little of her technique but I wondered if anyone
knew of any further information on it?
Many thanks,
