Comfortafghan for Marrissa by
norabalcer
Hi Everyone,
I've asked permission from Dawn to do a comfortafghan for Marrissa and
she said it would be a lovely thing for us to do so here goes. I need
two 6x6 squares by the 31st of Jan. That gives us time to get past the
holidays and she will be in need of hugs for a long time.
Hugs,
Nora

buttons needed by
Cyndlu
Does anyone have a good online source for fancy 1" shank buttons that
can be used on handknit sweaters? I bid on some gorgeous Czech glass
ones at ebay yesterday but lost out. I thought I'd find a good source
on the web, but I haven't been able to.
Thanks in advance.

Large circular needles by
Vintage Purls
Hi all,
I have a pattern that calls for #13 24" circular needles. Now I'm in
N.Z. and we use the metric system, so I think that the equivalent is
9mm, 60cm. Trouble is the largest I can find in local shops is 8mm (and
then only in 100cm length). Can anyone suggest a good online source for
needles...

Sunday evening by
Shillelagh
Well it's been another cool day on the Canadian prairies.
Today felt quite a bit warmer than yesterday. At least the
hubbo and I were able to get outside to cut and split some
firewood today.
Yesterday and today I spent an enjoyable afternoon watching
the Canadian Figure Skating Championships on...

OT Help! Gift suggestion by

Sorry for the OT post but you all are so nice I was hoping you wouldn't

to a 90th birthday party for my sis-in-law's mother-in-law who will be
arriving soon from England and I just don't have a clue what to get her. ...

Lacy work -- weaving in ends? by
Nancy Pannebaker
Hi Jake,
Boy can I relate! I recently finished an afghan that had over 600 ends
to weave in by the time I was finished (90 squares, multiple color changes)
and as in your case the design was fairly open so that I couldn't just work
over my ends as I stitched. What I did was to thread a yarn needle...

Sunday anniversary coffee by
Gwendoline Kelly
Hello everyone once again it is time for our Sunday morning coffee - or
Saturday for those whose Sabbath is celebrated on that day.
This morning was very special for us - we went to Mass as usual and there
was a visiting priest from the order of Oblate of Mary Imaculate. We used

Problem solved by
Amanda Tikkanen
My BF once said something about wanting a sweater. I informed him of
the rule. Last night I'm working on a Wallaby for Nephew #2 and
casually ask BF what his chest size is (I know it's huge, but I wanted
numbers). He asked about the sweater thing again... I told him not to
worry about it... but...

Honest question here by
myswendy
Hi everyone,
I have been wondering about this for quite a while--I know many, many
folks love to make dishcloths, washcloths, etc, and many say it's
habit-forming. My question is really two-fold:
Why would anyone want to make something that will purposely be made
dirty? And secondly, do they work?...

Bernat and Spinrite? by
Denise
I went to my local Hobby Lobby to get in on the sale.... is Spinrite the
same brand as Bernat? I didn't see any "Spinrite" brand anywhere and
just had to deduce that it was Bernat's parent company or something.
Thanks,
Denise
