stretching wool on purpose by [email protected]
I have a lovely Norwegian 100% wool sweater that I want to strech the arms about 2". I was planning on soaking the arms, laying it flat and stretching and clamping the arms about 2" longer - then letting it dry. Will this work? Will it be permanent? Any precautions? Thanks!!!

Needing Crochet Hook Help! by Brandie Renea
I'm in the midst of making little christmas decorations/knick-knacks and my steel crochet hooks are... well... they're getting pretty bad. I'm still relatively new to this so I was wondering if there was anything I could do to keep my steel hooks in good condition. I'm pretty sure one of them has...

question for the felters by Laura J
I have read that you're supposed to knit loosely when making felted items. What I'm wondering is, is it possible to knit TOO loosely? I am knitting a felted purse, using a pattern I have used many many times before. I have even used this same yarn before (Brown Sheep's Nature Spun). Last time...

Michaels v. local yarn stores by Islands

I try to shop at stores that treat their employees fairly (not sure what to do with the supermarkets and their new two-tier system for new employees). Anyway, I always bought my yarn at my local yarn store and paid highway robbery prices....
