What fabric is this? by
Ben
Can anyone tell me what (type) of fabric is being used for this
bedskirt? I have been trying to identify and locate this fabric for
two weekends. So far.. no luck.

Odd design decision by
Seanette Blaylock
IIRC, there are a couple of designers in here, so maybe I can get an
answer to a mystery of my current project. I'm working on Janlynn's
"Christmas Story Ornaments", and I can live with the quarter stitches
on Aida . What stumps me is the designer's color
decisions. WHAT possessed her to call for...

Ut Oh, I showed mom-in-law my grandmothers screens by
Gary V. Deutschmann, Sr.
Hi Gang
Don't know if you remember when horsehair came up as an alternative
for floss.
But I had mentioned about my grandmother using horsehair to make
scrolls on the edges of her window screens.
My new Mother-in-law was looking through some picture books and even
though she is as blind as a bat,...

The Cross Stitcher - US magazine by
Mira
Hello everyone. Last July, I saw an issue of the Cross Stitcher US magazine
in Canada that has pattern inside that says "life is fragile, handle or
hemmed it with prayer" something like that. I didnt buy it then hoping that
I can catch it here in Texas but there's none in my local Walmart when I...

About auction and stitching... by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Hi everyone!
Have not been here for a long time. But now I have something
to tell you. One friend of mine has used a certain page for
some time already. I have seen her to use it. And she has
told me how to use it. Once she created me a way to log in
there too. At first I did not dare to use my...

Addie
I have just finished my Heirloom Christmas Sampler and I think I want to
finish it as a bell pull. Has anyone done this? How would you reccommend
finishing it? (It is the long version of the red and green

Lost site by
tennhick
Quite often, I follow links posted here, there, everywhere for purchasing
decisions and inspiration. Not that long ago, I landed on a site that had what
might be needlepoint canvases of ladies/women/matrons who had personality in
their facial expressions
begin tongue in cheek their hats were to...

Rug tapestries by
BDS2pds
Rugs were made as well, though the fact that they exist in good to excellent
condition shows that they were NOT to be walked on, but admired, at least from
the edges!
I found this while researching this morning on white-works.com and I surely do
agree and also the rest of you who have worked on...

Finished the Loara Standish Sampler!!! by
Julie T in VA
I don't post a lot, but I just had to share my happy dance over finishing this
project!
After just about 3 years, I finished the sampler, and when I finally unrolled
it (since it had been on scroll bars the whole time and I hadn't looked at it)
I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't know what I was...

California shops? by
Felice Friese
It may be a little early to think about a June trip to California, but not
if you're cold and icebound in New England. (It's 4:45 pm and the first car
to leave our 10-home road just made it up the street, in the snowplow's
tracks.)
I'll be there from June 6 to 18, working my way down the coast...

Thank you Jim. I guess I didn't realize she had her own threads and no I
am not that good at guessing at colors (LOL) I will check at Nordic Needle
when I get over there next time and see what I can come up with.
