The Grace Cometh by
Nurse Ratched
You must know my husband--except in our house, we've reversed the process. We
already have the table saw, the lathe (with some kind of Super Deluxe Chuck),
the drill press, and the bandsaw. We no longer bother referring to it as the
garage--it's the shop. Makes it a lot easier to raise the issue...

OT- ? about Transitions eyeglass lenses by
Pati Cook
I don't get the darken in the sun lenses because the lenses always have some
color in them. Plays havoc with matching/determining colors. Do think
about that. Also here in the desert they are a lot slower to change back to
light because of the heat.

Can someone explain to me by some quilting book are going for over 200.00?
One example is "papercuts and Plenty by Elly Sienkiewicz. I though it might
be a mistake but there are several sites that are selling it for over
200.00! This is not the only quilting book I have come across that is...

lost hug quilt by
Marijke
I'm so upset!
I made a hug quilt for someone in a site I'm active in. The post office lost
it.
No, it wasn't insured. No tracking. I know. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Anyway, it's no good to anyone else but the intended recipient but just in
case it does turn up somewhere, I posted photos of the...

Iron kvetching was Re Happy ending for Joann coupon. by
Elena
Did I use that word right? kvetching? like looking over someone's
shoulder in a card game and giving unwanted and revealing advice?
Well I "could" complain that my iron has no cover over the steam hole.
So if I get really fast, the water sloshes back out of it, and it's REALLY
HOT water too! I...

Need a FQ fix? by
AliceW
If anyone is planning on going to the Haddonfield craft fair today, leave
early, wear good walking shoes and go to the Little Shop to get 25 FQ for
$25! The FQ are normally $2.25 and you can also get 1/2 yard cuts which
would count as 2 FQ. NAYY
I went yesterday and did some damage there. ...

DH frequently says, "Oh, honey, nobody wants to hear about that..." I have
observed that you can tell when you're at a table of nurses, because everyone
just keeps eating when this stuff is brought up!
Oh, oh .... what I tell mysistertheRN: "Puleeze, not it mixed

Ah-ha moment on Pfaff and machine applique by
Loren in Seattle
I have a Pfaff machine and I adore the integrated dual feed. Usually.
Today, after weeks of getting very frustrated doing some machine appliqué, I
realized that it is much, much easier with the dual feed foot up. Much.
Too bad I figured this out near the end of the project.
I always put the dual...

Like Roberta, I long ago gave up on the bicycle clips. A pain to put
on, they never STAYED on right, they DO clank on the table, and why
bother, when just rolling the quilt TIGHT works?

Carla here again! Thanks to you all, who wrote and commiserated with me. I
had to laugh at some, and it really helped. Some of the smallest things help
so much; the idea of winding more than one bobbin at a time. Why didn't I
think of that???
I will be tackling that quilt today, with a fresh new...
