OT wrapping in fabric by
Taria
I came across this link nosing around tonight:
http://www.jennywrenpaperie.com/wrapping.php
If you give gifts to quilter friends this is
a great how to using fabric as the 'paper'.
You could use tablecloths or napkins too depending
on size and gift. Just some fun ideas to keep
wrapping paper use...

Polly Esther
When I first was introduced to this group, we had just moved to the Swamp
and were rebuilding a kitchen. When asked for your ideas on kitchen
creation, the input was just wonderful. Now, well . . . maybe not now but
soon, the stove I love is going to need to be replaced. Please share your...

Hug Quilt - James Byrd Jr.family (1998) by
Mickie Swall
This group made a hug quilt for the James Byrd Jr. family about 8 or 9
years ago - (Mr. Byrd was the guy from Jasper, TX who was chained to a
truck and dragged to his death). Does anybody know if there are any
links online to pictures of the quilt? I know there was a newspaper
article when the...

I just posted my quilts made in 2007 by
Idahoqltr[_2_]
I can hardly believe this is all I've gotten done in 7 months, but I
just posted the three quilts I've made this year. I am working on
learning free-motion quilting so I did two of the quilts. The other
one I paid to have quilted because I knew I couldn't get it done in
time. I plan to deliver...

'Shambles' is now a UFO by
jennellh
Shambles is my friend's golden lab (8yo) and the Quiltmaker paper
pieced pattern was the perfect picture of her. I made it up this
weekend in the hopes that I WILL finish it before I see my friend
again - it is her birthday this month and I had planned to make
something special for her this year...

I just got back from the home of the same woman who died and left me
all the fabric a couple of months ago. Her daughter is clearing out
the estate and the family has taken all the stuff that they want so
she called me to come down and look at some things. I got a "Large"
collection of templates...

Thank you Roberta by
Deanna in Virginia
Roberta, thank you so much for the blocks you sent. It made me feel so
good. I couldn't believe it when I saw that you are in Germany. You
gals on this group are so thoughtful and nice. But, we quilters are
that way.......
Hugs,

Does this mean that the stitching has to be 3.1/2 inches apart or what.
Sorry for senior moments but I cannot get my head around this.
Just getting ready to go to my craft class were I will be showing how to
knit with...

Very narrow border. by
Sally Swindells
Probably I am behind the rest of the world, but I have just discovered
narrow borders!
Its a 1.1/2 strip folded in half and ironed to give a 3/4" strip. Cut 2
to the width and 2 for the length.
Then with the raw edges together and the folded edge towards the centre
of the quilt, sew the sides...

Wavy Edge Quilt by
Bonnie NJ
Hi All,
I just finished my first wavy edge quilt and I love the way it looks. It
wasn't difficult at all and read that I should use a single fold bias
binding. That was a first for me also.
Next I'll have to try the shalloped edge. Not right now but soon.
