December threads sent by
Janise
I sent out my December threads to both of my partners, Ray and Shelagh,
today. Since they are both in other countries from me, it will be
interesting to see how long it takes for each of them to receive the
envelopes.

felting large items by
Laura J
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for how to felt large items.
Specifically, what do you put them in when you put them in the washing
machine? For smaller items I have used a mesh lingerie bag and I have heard
of using zippered pillowcases but the item I want to felt (a vest) is too
large...

Does anyone 'resue' yarn? by
Sandra Rose
For many years I could not afford to shop for balls of yarn - instead I would go to thrift stores, and find sweaters hand made of
attractive yarn, and dissasemble them...
I've rescued many 2.00 sweaters that became socks and mittens and slippers and scarves over the years ;-)
Could not have kept...

On and off topic - returned from Israel by
JCT
I'm back from a week in Israel - I see you have all been busy posting!
I got to talk to Mirjam on the phone from Jerusalem (I didn't make it
up to Haifa) Mirjam had kindly arranged for me to meet her "sister of
the heart", Haya, in Jerusalem. She was exceedingly gracious to me
and we had a great...

Help with a wool/nylon sweater that was given to us by
[email protected]
My MIL gave my DH a new wool sweater from Orvis last week. It is very
warm and he has been wearing it but is complaining that there is an
odor to it. It is made of 85% wool and 15% nylon and a little scratchy
to the feel. I aired it outside for two days but the odor is still
there. Is this a...

If you are enjoying what you are doing and you don't have a problem with
paying the rent for the craft booth... then go for it and see how it goes in
the New Year! And from me... good luck to you in your endeavors. :o)

If you can afford the rent and enjoy then stay as long as you want. You
have to do what makes you happy.

(Bet that got your attention)
You've all heard of DWI - driving while intoxicated. I suppose that we could
not drive while knitting? (giggle)
What activities do any of you do while you knit or crochet? Does anyone knit
when they're reading this ng?
