Continental Style knitting by
L
I KNOW 'continental style' knitting (where the yarn is held in the left
hand, as in crochet) is faster than 'American style' (where you hold the
yarn in your right hand and 'throw' it over the needle). I've seen the
video's.
But, oh, the learning!
With a niece and a nephew each expecting an...

madhatress
Hi All,
For Christmas this year, DBF's uncle has requested that I knit him a Thneed?
Does anyone know where I can find one? I have been Googling, but haven't
found much.
TIA

My yarn addiction by
Elsa
Sent this to a friend of mine when she sent an email "helpfully" letting
me know about a yarn sale...
--------------
Hello, my name is Elsa, and I am a yarn addict. It's been 16 days since my last yarn purchase.
I started buying yarn in 2001. It started so innocently. I'd buy yarn only when...

Allaya Diep
Hello!
Word has it that the Mystery Knitter has sent me a package. THank you
mystery knitter! :) You're so very sweet. Maybe one day when Laine loses
her aversion to anybody knitting in the house, I will send you something
too!
I'm still alive here, everybody...sorry, but Lammy has been...

Still here... by
Carol in TN
I must admit that I am in the same situation as Sarah. I read the messages
everyday but have not posted.
I have moved just a month ago and am still putting things away (and then
sometimes moving them around). Still cleaning and replacing some things
because I seem to be nutty about living in...

a small RANT, if you will by
The YarnWright
FYI:
I happen to be one of those left-wing LIBERAL types, I guess, who believes
that charity begins at home.
Before a single penny of mine goes overseas, I feel there are enough tragic
situations right here in North America that need dire attention.
Long before the hurricanes, and the fires, and...

a 'dyeing' query by
YarnWright
For you more experienced dye-ers.... would an alpaca silk blend yarn
'dye-up' EVENLY?
Here's the scoop, I'm going to need a black shawl, and I mean BLACK for an
important event this summer. As you know, my eyes can't take it, even
using a white ragg/towel, whatever on my lap, so... I'm thinking of...
