New photos posted by
nana2b
Hi Everyone, I posted a photo of a quilt that I did on my new HQ16. It is
the 3rd try and came out OK. I bound it and offered it to Chloe, the Senior
QI. All around approval from her and it now has a nice layer of dog hair
to make it complete. Also some new photos of the novice Kitty QI...

Natalie's trip by
Don/Gen
Well, Natalie has made it as far as Columbus, OH on her move from CA to DC.
We met up at Perkin's Pancake House for an early dinner. We didn't have too
long because she and her SIL were hoping to make it past Pittsburgh tonight.
She has managed to hit a couple quilt shops on her way East----has...

Border advice needed! by
hfw
If you've got a moment, please take a look at the first quilt in my webshots
WIP album (quilt top for kiki). It's ready for its third border, which I've
planned to be the same as the first. When I did the design in EQ5 (2nd pic
in WIP album)I didn't think about the binding. I really like the look...

Not OT...another lost item search by
CNYstitcher
Okay, so I was hoping to start on Rebekahs first Mommy-made quilt but
needed to pre-wash the fabrics. Any idea where they could have hidden
themselves?? I have checked the fabric storage closet, which is where I
last remember seeing them, I have checked the sewing project cabinet in
my new sewing...

A How to question by
Mika
I am making a quilt that is made up of two different designs of 12" blocks.
Just the blocks, pre-border, will be 60X84 then I plan to put borders on to
make it a queen size quilt. I want to quilt the blocks with a diamond
pattern. Then I will SITD around the seams of the borders, not with...

OT - Australian calendar by
Queen of Squishies
For my piano studio bookkeeping, I need a calendar with Sunday as the last
day of the week. I can't find one anywhere, and I can't seem to make one on
my computer. Consider me calendar-challenged, or whatever. I accept the
truth. LOL! Can someone take pity on me and send me one??

Grandma's Bunnies revisited... by
Paul & Suzie Beckwith
I've been slack, and haven't finished my 12 Grandma's Bunny blocks for
my friends baby which is now due next week - eek!
So, after having several weeks off, I've been super-busy and have now
got 8 of the little darlings done, just 4 more blocks and 5 bunnies
(one block has two on it), the next...

Marijke
Woohoo... started and finished a wallhanging.
Our friends who are taking dd to Europe this summer have a schnauzer so I
made them a wallhanging to thank them. It's in the wallhanging section of my
photoalbum at http://photos.yahoo.com/sesesi, if you'd like to see it.

new photo up by
DebsPrintOnIt
I just added a photo of the quilt top I made with fabrics given to me on my
50th birthday. It is really wild and bright and the picture doesn't do it
justice, but it will give you an idea of what it is like.

Donna in Idaho \(remove invalid\)
I wanted to take some pictures of our Linus booth at the quilt show to our
Project Linus Conference this week. Do you think I can find the stoopid
pictures? I've looked in every logical & illogical place I can think of.
Any ideas?
Hey, Ragmop, think you could find them for me?

top and bottom threads - question by
Ann Adamson
Can I use 100% cotton thread in the top (needle) and polyester thread
in the bobbin when quilting?
I am trying to finish up a picnic quilt for DH, and the top calls for
a nice sort of golden/khaki thread which I have in cotton, but the
backing of the quilt is solid teal. I could use the same...

Hi group. Is anyone planning on going to the Nashville Quilt Show in
August? http://www.aqsshows.com/show/nash/nashville.cfm I wasn't able to
get into Paducah so I thought about going to this one. It's close enough to
me that I could just drive over for just 1 day to check out the quilts but...

Excited about Nashville by
MoragP
I almost can't believe it. I was fooling around looking at websites today and
clicked on AQS. Read about the Exposition in Nashville in August and signed up
for five classes! With all the hoo-ha of Father's Day, I guess it really
didn't hit me until now. This will be my first group of classes...

minute of it. I'm shopping around for my next project, and I stumbled
on these crazy quilts by Buggy Barn. (If anybody wants to see, their

Quilting in hot weather by
Lenore Lawrence
I always wonder why I manage to do so much quilting in the summer. Just
now, I finished sandwiching a quilt in our sunroom (only room with table big
enough). Sunrooms are nice but habitable only a few days a year. It was
already 85 + in there by 11 a.m........but it is done, ready to be...
