[AD] New at Trash City: Silicone spiky things + Picture Frame Charms by
Trashcitybeads
Firstly, a warning to sensitive readers. This post contains the C-word, which
some may find offensive. But let's get it out of the way now. Folks, we are
heading towards...CHRISTMAS. There, I said it. Yes, I know it seems like a long
way off, but we're almost in October, and so before you realise,...

~Candace~
No pics.........yet! They are currently drying from their Future bath:)
I beadgasmed myself with these..hehehehe.
Okay, there are 6 squished coins, textured in what I think is going to be my
signature texture--tiny puckers, allllllll over. Those are a deep dark,
sage green with hints of...

OT Hurricane Jeanne - here we go AGAIN! by
Linda2
It looks like we are going to be hit by the 4th hurricane of the season. The
forecasters are still undecided as to exactly where it's going to land in
Florida but we are already feeling some of the wind gusts and the rain. I'm
hunkered down and ready.
Fellow Floridians, be safe!

Indian Grass by
wullie
Does anyone know where I can buy Indian grass wholesale? I am wanting
to make "made to order" bunches with beads decorating each stem in a
variety of colours.
I have seen the finished products in many high street shops, but
fancied trying it out myself, where I can be a bit more creative.
Thanks...

Im sunk :-) by
Diana Curtis
All I wanted to do was come here to rcb and learn to make beaded fringe for
my lamp. I dont know that I got oodles of help for that, of course I didnt
ask to many questions either, but the good people and stimulating
conversation here, along with all the absolutely divine beads and beaded
works I...

Shirley Shone
First of all I want to thank you for your good wishes and vibes. RCB
power at work again.
I got to see the Professor of Cardiology. We had a good satisfying talk.
He asked how I felt and did I think I was worse. I said that I was no
worse than my initial visit before the tests. I still get angina...

Bits and Pieces (lots of little stories) by
Barbara Forbes-Lyons
Kathy -
Enjoyed the stories, esp. the new word.
My BIL uses accupuncture for his chemo side affects and has said that the
positive results increased with each treatment, so stay with it and if your
pin-pusher is also a traditional Chinese doctor, ask about moxibustion and
other herbal...

Totally OT, but worth a look by
Su/Cutworks
This link may be of interest to those in the US who live near rivers that
have commercial traffic on them. This is the story of a tugboat that had a
bit of trouble at a bridge.

I promise that anyone who comes to visit won't get the same sort of ride!

Glass tools and Polyclay? by
Stephanie
I have been reading the threads about the tools the lampworkers are working
with to musch glass into bead shapes. Has anyone tried these with polyclay, or
is it just overkill. (Like using a hammer and nails on clay).

A couple of you have asked to see my jewelry. I've posted three photos on
Yahoo. I *think* I've got the permissions set such that you call can see
them. You'll have to click the Next button to display each photo. I
apologize for the poor quality. These were scanned for me by a friend some
time...

AD: Eggplant & Peace, Fiesta Winds and Raku Totem by
Susan B.
Whew - after almost a week of helping my friend label her 400 lb +
shipment of Moretti and Vetrofond glass and other goodies, and doing my
talk about beadmaking as a healing occupation, I finally got a chance
to make and list some beads. Eggplant and Peace - another from my "In
the Garden" series,...
