Quilting Now? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
What are you stitching just now?
I have a jungle symphony on the design wall: lions and tigers and
bears. An elephant, 3 zebras and all manner of kangaroo spots and jungle
greenery. The arrangement was just much too 'expected' so I tossed in the
Easter Bunny.
Ah. just right.
And...

Essential Tools by
Edward W. Thompson
As a newbie I would appreciate suggestions as what are considered
'essential' quilting/patchwork tools. We have rotary cutters (28, 45
and 60 mm), cutting mat (24"), ruler (24), 6" square 45 deg triangle
rule (all Omnigard), now what else, if anything? I recognize that we
likely have the basics...

IT'S A GIRL!!! by
nana2b
To keep this on topic, she loved the Cat in the Hat Quilt. Norah Danielle
was born at 4pm, June 3, 2006, 6lbs,70z. 19 3/4" long. She has lovely brown
fuzz and dark eyes. My DDIL and DS are just thrilled. She went to the
hospital at around 11 and was sent home only to return at around 3 and...

OT need reading material- help! by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
I knew we've covered this several times, but I can't stay on my computer
long enough to do a lot of searching in the archives, so am asking for the
same ol' stuff..... again.
I thought I'd be laid up with this darn surgery for only two weeks, so I
bought 2 WalMart bags of used paperbacks before...

rotary cutter blades? by
Julia Altshuler
I seem to go through rotary cutter blades at an amazing speed. I'm
careful to use them only on my Olfa green mat, and I'm good about
closing the cutter to the safe position when it's not in use. Still,
they go dull in no time. I spend zillions on blades.
What I haven't done is kept track of...

aka - the green table runner! A week ago, it was sitting on a pile of
projects (4 other table runners and a set of 6 placemats) - then my
sister told me that her neighbour was hoping to give the green table
runner to her daughter for a birthday gift - this weekend! I had to
make a quick decision...

I am writing the truth and I need someone to help. I am not
crazy and I am not a troll.
Go to the FBI and tell them about Steve. That he is a fairly
new requit, he is good looking, he's gay and he was top of
his class in what he does.
Tell them they just can't talk to him over the phone, they...

How many projects? by

As a newbie, I thought quilting would be one project at a time. WRONG!
I seem to have sewing everywhere. There's the Grandmother's Flower Garden that
I'm hand piecing, the black and white Fence Rail for my son, a Christmas wreath
applique and my crazy quilt (so I can collect all those fabulous...

Need your opinion! by
hfw
Well, I made a bunch of "Mary's blocks" out of batiks and stuck them up on
the design wall. Looked good, but I wondered what would happen if.....
So I took it to EQ5. Bad move. Now I've got 9 different layouts to choose
from and can't make up my mind. Neither can my husband. I'm hoping you...

1/4 Inch by
Betsy Ross
I've been quilting for about one year. I invested in the quilting foot for
my Bernina. Most of my designs are made up so exact size isn't critical;
all my 12.5 blocks turn out 12.25. One-quater inch over 12 inches isn't
bad, but it ain't right.
So I put my standard number 0 foot on my machine...

Views of Katrina devastation. by
Debra
One of the news channels is running areal views and it's terrible. A
casino barge on top of a hotel. What once was a neighborhood reduced
to piles of splintered wood. Mud and water everywhere. One
neighborhood obviously hit by both flooding and a tornado is now just
shredded bits in splintered...
