Jan 6 x 6 rec'd by
Amanda Tikkanen
I got my squares in the mail from Sue W. last week but forgot to post
because I was getting ready for a big dog show this past weekend (if
anyone wants to know about that, I'm REALLY willing to tell, but it's
pretty OT).
Sue, I'll have yours out this week.

sweaters by

Gosh, as a rank, rank amatuer knitter I hesitate to post, but maybe
someone hasn't heard of these tricks:
I used to knit the 2 fronts, the 2 sleeves, then do the back to finish
up the yarn.
Then someone passed on:
Knit the sleeves on 4 needles to the armhole binding off. Then on 2 to
form the...

too small for the buttons despite being (s2kwktbl, 3yo, k2tog)
buttonholes. At this point I'm just too tired to do the binding off,
even tho I'm planning to...

E. Rosevelt by
I saw the PBS special on Eleanor Roosevelt. I noticed that she was quite a
knitter. In many of the old newsclips, she is knitting right along. Who
would have thought that a person that busy, the president's right hand and
legs as it were, would be an active knitter?

Hi Katherine
A question for you - is that you with the scarf pattern on the Delphi
forums? (Katherine Burgess) If so, do you have any idea why Donna Wellman
had her pattern for the felted slippers pulled from the site?
I love that pattern and wanted to send the link to some other...

turkiz ponderings by
Mirjam Bruck-Cohen
After playing with it , decided that i will fold the 7 cm long . k2 p2
collar over knit it together and get a nice crew neck ,, i hesitated
as it looks a bit `strong` and bold , for such thin wool and intended
lace knitting , but it it will give it such a neat and warm hold on my
neck, and i do...

I'm back! And Question by
[email protected]
I know y'all missed me(no choking on the "who the heck is this
weirdo"), I missed y'all. How's everybody been? Cher, Wooly, Noreen,
Els, and everybody that I can't think of, y'all ok? I hope everyone is
fine and there's been no bad news since September....
Does anyone know what a stout card is?...

OT - Weather by
MRH
I could see out the window by the computer that it is damp, but doesn't
really look like it's raining, so I figured it was just a bit of mist. When
I called the dogs in the house, both of them slipped on the deck. I stepped
out *under* the awning and put my foot where it looked damp.... sure...

I have started again by
Kari
Hello Folks,
Just popped in to say that I have begun to get back into my Machine
Knitting Life.
It is only a little step, but we must all begin somewhere. Yesterday I
opened and catologued the contents of Box 1 of 8 that my yarn is
stashed in, after my emigration.
Fortunately, I have always had a...

Just a quick update to say "hi" and and report on the weekend. I have not
been at my computer, trying to finish my 2006 NYCO for the party I went to
on Saturday night. Unfortunately, I did not finish the shell. I probably
needed 1-2 hours more to finish it and be able to wear it. So, I told my...

I haven't been able to do any knitting or crocheting over the last few

new car at first, because the steering wheel is at a different distance etc.
But adjusting all of that didn't help. Doc just said get a different...

OT - Back safely! by
MRH
Just wanted everyone to know that I went to the store and got back safely!
Actually the temperature has gotten milder from this morning, so there is no
ice on the ground at the moment. Doesn't mean it won't freeze overnight
though... so I'll step carefully going out the door in the morning! ...
