need source by
Georgia
Does anyone have a source for inexpensive, small padded (bubble-wrap)
envelopes, such as would be appropriate for mailing beads? I seem to recall
someone posting about that in the telescoping past (so it could be a couple
of years ago, LOL). I don't need to buy 100, but there's gotta be a...

A Different Sort of RCB Challenge by
Diana Curtis
Perhaps this isnt the best time of year to propose a new project for RCB,
but it is important to get the ball rolling (or not as the case may be) now.
A short while ago we were discussing Su's teeny tiny Christmas tree and
her lampworked bead ornaments, and that led to Tina suggesting such...

if anyone is still awake tonight . . . by
Jalynne
Ok...bear with me...LOL. At first glance, I wasn't sure I liked it, mainly because
it's a different palette than I'm used to for myself. Then I started envisioning it
finished, and laying against a black dress, or even a white one, or.... It's
something that would look great with anything. ...

favorite gemstone beads? by
Beadseeker
I don't remember if we have ever had a thread on this, but I'm curious as to
what everyone's favorite semiprecious beads are. You know, the ones which end
up in the "just for me" box? Mine are charoite, labradorite, and crysocolla.

Anchoring a beaded handle by
Lisa C
Hi there!
Can anyone give me some advice as to the best way to anchor a beaded
handle? I'm making a trinket box and would like to attach beaded
handles to both sides however I'm having a little trouble making a
strong anchor on the inside of the box. I've been told to use a "flat
bead" and while...

Made some earrings today by
Marisa Cappetta
I modified this necklace pattern (I drilled down to a link from a link on
Sooz's list):
http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/8782/beads/beadpatt/pattern06_e.htm
I made one heart in the pattern, with a dagger bead at the bottom point. I
attached a loop at the top for an earring finding. I made them...

I am back by
Dr. Sooz
I'm back from my honeymoon, and I'm exhausted. It was GREAT -- and parts
sucked, too.
I never tell the world at large when I'm about to leave, only tell when I get
back. (It's not smart to announce that one's house will be empty for several
days or weeks....) So Hi, you guys! ...

Pricing & Photography (Was: Do a favor for a newbie?) by

Thanks to everyone who answered. Some comments on your
comments:
Pricing. Okay, how much higher should I go?
Here's an example of how I came to a price -
The amythyst glass piece cost me $5.61 to make. I paid
myself a wage of $7 because as a beginner, I feel
that's appropriate. I rounded up the...
