going dotty (Teri) by
lisa skeen
Hey Teri, I got I think 4 dotty fabrics yesterday. Can we have some
clarification on the dotties? Can they be fun dots, like larger dots with
smiley faces, or dots that are heart shaped, or must they be plain ol' dots?

This month's Quilter's Newsletter magazine has an article comparing some
of the brands and types of exotic batts, including alpaca and silk (and
maybe wool as well.)

Thanks for the Squishy! by
Janet of Gar
I got a surprise, belated birthday squishy! It was sent anonymously, but
I have my suspicions grin thanks to the postmark.
It was a very nice surprise in my mailbox and I do appreciate it.
The color was exactly right.
Thanks much,
Happy Stitching,

Whatever happened to Mr. Bear? I use to love reading about Mr. Bears
adventures. It's been years since I've seen a post.
Does anyone know where Mr. Bear went?

Foundation piecing foundation by
Hanne Gottliebsen
Yes, I am deliberately repeating myself!
When you do foundation piecing, what foundation do you use and why do
you like it?
I have used fun-dation, both leaving it in and taking it out. For
leaving in, it works pretty well, although it does add a bit of
stiffness (body?) to the quilt - I have...

OT - Grandbaby No. 4 by
Mika
I just got word via an instant message that my 18 y/o stepdaughter gave
birth to a little girl this morning. This brings the grandbaby total to 4
now.
I wish I could give the details but I just can't bring myself to talk about
it. The whole situation with those girls is just way too painful...

Hancock Fabric closing 50 stores by
Kate T.
Thought I'd give you all a heads up. I read in our local newspaper
that Hancock Fabric has decided to close 50 stores in 42 states. They
will be having going out of business sales sometime this summer I
suspect. I doubt if they will re-open the stores destroyed by the
hurricanes and I will now...

Couching threads by
frood
Or not. I'm working on a piece for a class, and I need to attach some yarns
to the fabric. I did some of this already, with hairy yarn, and I couched it
down with silk thread (a very thoughtful gift from someone), and boy, was
that a pain! Between the fine (read: almost invisible) thread and the...

A Hug for my friend Don by

A friend was diagnosed with a brain
tumour recently. Though the use of the
