My "Red" project by
Sunny
I haven't even sewn but a few seams and already this project has taught
me more than I've learned in several years of quilting. Oh my goodness.
I knew I was setting a challenge for myself, but I thought parts would
be simple. I assumed the only thing I needed to do for the sky was find
the...

Need iron advice by
[email protected]
Hi fellow quilt lovers,
I need help and/or advice about irons. Every iron I have had in the
past few years hasn't lasted more than 6-9 months no matter what brand
or how much I paid for it.
I currently have a Rowenta that I bought around Christmas last year and
it has begun to spit. I mean really...

Semi-OT--Christmas seed bead embellishments by
monique
I've found and fallen for some tiny little white seed beads that are
striped! Some are red and white, some green and white, and some white
with red and green. They look like Christmas candy! I'd love to put
some in projects, but they come in hanks of 4,000. Anybody want to go
in on a bunch...

I'd rather be quilting by
julia sidebottom
Today is the once a month routine IV therapy that I have to have and all
the plans I had to be able to stitch went out the window today. I
thought I would be able to sit back and tie the crazy quilt but that
hasn't happened. Every time I went to give a good tug on the ribbons to
pull them...

OT posting with Google by
marigold
Hi all.
I've been trying to post with Google and have not had success!
If this makes it does anyone have a better suggestion than Google? My
ISP does not provide a news server.

Quilters show up in the most unusual places too. by
Debra
Today I met a male quilter. He is an electrician working at our "so
new it's not open for business yet" Walmart. He makes quilts for
Christmas presents for some of his family members every year. He
really didn't look like a quilter--30 something, spikey hair, black
rocker t-shirt, no thread bits...

Looky at my mud pies! by
Sunny
Ok, a couple of you suggested I post pics of my very, very, very
unfinished and still in progress Red project. It's rough, guys. I have
never attempted anything like this before and I'm really not sure how
it will turn out. But I'm having more fun that I've ever had on a
project before. This is...

OT -- Wanted by
blackrosequilts
Wanted:
A computer that breaks down less often than I do.
I got a new computer 2 and a half weeks ago. Its power supply went
kerphlooey Tuesday morning.
They're making good on it and sending a tech over to our house to
install a new power supply.

Jessamy
This time from our own Carol Doak who somehow managed to not only be away
when I placed my order but also to add a personalised autograph to my books
*and* get them here in a weeks time! WOW! she was also kind enough to add a
signed card to assist in the trimming in the package too! Wonderful :-)...

really into my 'rescue' quilts by
Dr. Quilter
After seeing the antique quilt display at the local APWN, I am trying to
make an album of all the ones I have, their pattern, where I bought
them, how much I paid, and how I have restored them (if needed) or plan
to. Maybe you guys can help with with naming a few patterns/estimated ages?
Here...

frog hunt by
Karen Garza
My husband is always commenting on the the cute frogs that live in our
vegetable garden. I thought I would make him a small lap/nap quilt with some
frogs on it. I am in the pattern collecting stage right now, so if you know
of any cute frog patterns online, please let me know. I may add some...

OT The Joy of the QI by
Polly Esther
This week, DH and I have been wallpapering a tiny bathroom. There is not
one window, door, light switch or corner in that room that is true, level
and square. Before we were half begun, both of us made the movie 'Grumpy
Old Men' look like a picnic.
In the middle of wallpaper glue dripping...
