OT - Fabric shops in LA - Santa Monica by
Johanna Gibson
Hiya,
I've found out that Mat is in the Santa Monica area, near Pico and
Sunset, area code 310. Any one know of a particularly good shop
there? He is now going to be in LA for 2 months, not a week, so I've
told him to come home with my weight in fabric (!) I also sent him a
massive list of LA...

She's HERE! by
Kate Dicey
The treadle came today!
My friend came to pick me up, and we went to her house to look at it.
It was tucked away in the corner of the gallery (they live in a
converted barn - very beautiful mediaeval structure converted to
interesting house with mezzanine in the living room!), and had...

OT Words of wisdom (spew warning) by
Shawn
Remember, once you get over the hill,
you'll begin to pick up speed.
I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.
If it weren't for STRESS I'd have no energy at all.
Whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.

Off for vacation by
Lynne in Toronto
Try not to get into too much trouble while I am away...like plotting to
take over the world, planning elaborate stash raids, or getting into
flame wars over who said what when!
Do try to make some quilts, have a few giggles and get those UFO's
cleaned up, all of which I plan to do in my one week's...

OT- Updated Pictures by
AliceW
Fran, I love the critters! All of them! But, I really love the sashiko
mini you made. I bought a book at Lancaster and some fabric, thread and
needles to learn this technique, but haven't had time yet. Your little
quilt is the perfect way to learn the stitches, what a great idea! Thanks
so...

How Much Does a Featherweight Weigh? (a bit OT) by
Joan8904
Well, the decision has been made for Mom to move from her home in Louisville to
an Assisted Living facility in Paducah, where my brother and his family live.
(Hey, if a quilter has to move, Paducah is a great place, right? And if a
quilter's quilting daughter has to visit, Paducah is okay!) ...

OT-another joke by
[email protected]
She visited her OB/GYN today and sheepishly said, "Something strange
has happened, and I don't know what it is." He said, "You've been my
patient for five years, and can tell me anything." So she said that in
the past week, she heard plinking noises when she urinated, and when she
looked there...
