I'm having fun! by
KJ
Ok, so I know I've whined about machine quilting many times. Today I
started and finished the border on the "leaf" quilt I'm making for my future
DIL!
I have collected machine quilting patterns for quite some time, but hadn't
yet actually used one for a project. Now I have!
I found a leaf...

OT Winter pictures by
KJ
I know many of us can't stand the thought of looking at more snow, but I
uploaded a few pictures I took during and after just one of our many storms.
I was struck by the way the snow stuck to the trees and looked just like the
Royal Icing that is used to make gingerbread houses. I guess we had...

Diamonds and Bars - Amish Quilts by
Heidi from Germany
This afternoon I was lucky and could visit an exhibition of Amish
Quilts. It was the same , Roberta in Munich has told about.
The quilts are incredible. If you imagine some fabrics alone, they are
dull and boring, but these women put them together and the quilts
sparkle and shine. And these...

Your email server is being naughty again.
I responded to your mail about changing the format of my copy of the
diretory (my machine won't open it either), and the mail was returned
saying your account had been suspended for "abuse". Must be they are
pegging you for a spammer based on bytes mailed...

WHEW--Quilt Show Over! by
Donna in NE La.[_2_]
I'm sitting here with feet propped up and a cold Diet Coke in my hand!! Our
quilt show ended today and I had a blast being on the committee (co-chairman
for the white glove folks). But we have been going non stop for three
days--setting up, working and taking down. It was my first time being on...

OT EQ5 file problems SOLVED by
Kay Ahr[_2_]
Thank y'all for alllllll your hints and suggestions. I went back to the EQ
Forums and read everything I could find about EQ5 and any issue.
Turns out that Microsoft Windows Update KB943460 was the problem. Electric

$10 gift certificate by
jennellh
I received word tonight that I won yet another $10 gift certificate in
the fabshophop. I am debating whether to buy 2m of ready-to-dye
fabric for $16 or the new Marti Michell Kaleidoscope book for $22 -
anything less than $25 goes for the $5.50 postage in Canada -
decisions,...

Thank you Larisa! by
Lenore L
I came home from a short work trip yesterday to a delightful squishy with
the Halloween and "other" blocks. Thanks so much!
One of our quilters is excited about them. I'm taking them over tomorrow.
A child in foster care will love the product(s)!
Thanks so much.

quilting together by
KJ
I just had a friend stay for a couple nights while on her way to her
daughter's baby shower this weekend. She had made a dust ruffle and
curtains for the nursery and with some online and phone help from me, she
made a cute little quilt top comprised of 5" blocks on point that's where I
came...

OT - Alert Radio by
Kate T.
Been up all night because of the weather here in Mississippi.
Several months ago I purchased an All Hazards Alert Radio made by
Midland. The cost was under 30 dollars.
I hate it when this thing goes off because of the loud alarm. I have
it sitting in the dining room and can hear it in my...

African textile art by
Boca Jan
My step-son just returned from Africa (Tanzenia) and brought me back some
great gifts, all fabric/art. I like reptiles and have a few in my sun room,
so the art is appropriate.
I hope you will visit my webshots and see. I am so pleased.

ot - girlie wisdom by
jennellh
This was sent to me this morning - Enjoy, jennellh.
1*Women over 50 don't have babies because they would put them down and
forget where they left them.
2*One of life's mysteries is how a 2-pound box of chocolates can make
a
woman gain 5lbs.
