Where to buy fabric used in lint brushes? by
P. Newman
Hi everyone,
I've been looking for the red fabric that is used to make
the lint brushes that you brush one way to pick up the lint
and then remove it by burshing the other way. The fabric
has a very strong nap.
I bought a hand mitt made of this to pick up pet hair at
Petco and discovered it is...

Help with Sewing DejaNews by
Ward
Hello,
A long, long, time ago I read a post here that gave the measurements for
various size dolls. Not the height, but the chest, mid-section, arm and
legs. It was specific for sewing doll clothes. Seems not all dolls are
created equally in circumference. I printed out the post, then lost it....

Bomber jacket lining by
Rebecca
Hi,
I have promised my father that I would re-line his old leather bomber
jacket for him, but I cannot seem to find any replacement map lining
fabric. Does anyone know of any place where I can purchase lining
with a map print?
Thank you!

I am a new Mother of a Pfaff by
QuiltShopHopper
I got my birthday prez a day early: a Pfaff 2044 tonight, 90 days same as
cash. I got the floor model that has been a demo for 3 months. I am so
pleased! DH gave me a certificate for any new sewing machine I wanted, so
we drove over to the Pfaff dealer and I sat and played on a few and...

making teddy bear ears round by
Irrational Number
I have a very simple teddy bear pattern,
but the ears keep coming out rectangular.
How do I sew it so that the ears turn
around round?
Hmm.. I hope that made sense. The bear
is about 10 inches tall, so the ears
are pretty small. There's no fur or
anything, just cotton fabric. I'm hand-
sewing...

Singer Touch-Tronic 2010 by
[email protected]
Found it this afternoon at a thrift shop, under $30.00. It's in need
of a thorough cleaning, but makes a beautiful stitch, sounds good, and
it's a touch-panel machine!! 29+ built-in stitches, and so easy to use.
I think this one might be the machine I give to GDD. Except it has an
extra-long,...

nippers - which? by
Robert
Many posters here have said that they find nippers (or thread clippers?)
indispensible when sewing. I am trying to find a pair. I want them to be
small, light, plastic-handled and of good quality. Is the one-finger "ear"
a useful thing? (without ever having used one I think it adds little...

Serging and Overlocking by
vanda
Hi.
I am new to serging and am getting rather frustrated. I have an Elna
744. I am trying to do an overlock 3 stitch. I have threaded and
rethreaded my machine dozens of times. I have read and re-read the
manual and watched the video. No matter what I do I cannot get the
machine to lock the...

Quality ironing board cover by
Me again :)
I am looking to replace the ironing board cover that came with my ironing
board. I bought the board because it was the best construction- but the
manufacturer cut corners with the cover. What should I look for to know
that it is a good quality?
I will not sew one, and I do not want...

Does anyone know about the Singer 431G by
SueJohnston
Does any one know anything about the Singer 431G? My sister's friend
has offered it to me, but it probably needs a service, although it is
working ok and is nice and clean. It still has the orginal case and
attachments. It is very old and looks similar to a 401G. It also
comes with four needle...
