Flesh colored 4 ply worsted yarn? by
Confuddled
I've been searching for a company/retailer that makes or sells flesh
colored 4 ply worsted yarn, without success. Any help in locating this
product would be appreciated, or any suggestions on what brand/color
can be substituted for flesh color.

OT but perhaps we could all learn something from this. by
Bernadette
A friend pointed me in the direction of this story. It gave me hope
that, despite our differences, we can all learn to live together and
respect each other.

Knitting speed ?? by
Had a speed trial this morning.
With circular needles, I knit ~ 100 stitches per minute.
With DPN and sheath, I knit ~ 160 stitches per minute. I'm sure some of you
can do better than that with circulars, but it is better than the 20 spm
that I was doing 4 years ago when I asked the group for...

Would like your advice/ideas by
Soozergirl
Hi, I am visiting my brother who lives in New Jersey this weekend. He has
cancer and probably won't be around more than about a year. I'm totally
bummed about this - he's 51. Anyway, I just thought (well, DUH) that a nice
knitted quilt/afghan might be nice for him - I think he would like it...

What is the equivalent to Lyscordet? by
Yvonne
Hi everyone
Couldn't find a newsgroup specifically for knitting or crochet but this one looks fun!
I'm based in the UK and am thinking about making a top using a pattern
that states you need 5 x 50g balls Twilleys Lyscordet. That seems to
be an expensive option. Just wondering what Lyscordet is...

Novelty Yarn Necklace by
Gina Beirne
I am looking for guidance in making a novelty yarn necklace like some I have
seen recently. They look to be multiple strands of eyelash and/or railroad
yarns twisted together. The yarns are inserted into beads at either end, and
they have a clasp like a necklace. They are quite short (choker...

Anyone working on anything? by
Olwyn.Mary
I am mostly busy sewing, making some fall and winter clothes, but the
asthma has subsided enough that I now feel I can knit while watching the
tv news. Nothing complicated, mind you, just something to keep the
fingers busy. So, I pulled out an old pattern - from the 1960s I think,
I bought it...

Thanks in advance
