Show and tell/AD by
Georgia
My art jewelry newsletter features a lot of knitting this month, so I
thought I should share this excerpt with my RCTY friends:
I've been selling jewelry for knitting needles (fancy stitch markers) for
quite a while now: http://www.georgiamorgan.net/html/decorating.htm
And Knitter's pins with...

Show Guide for the Knitting and Stitching Show at Ally Pally/NEC by
Penny Gaines
Quick question for any UK posters.
Have you received the show guide for the Knitting and Stitching
shows organised by Twisted Threads?
I ordered it along with my tickets months ago: the tickets came
promptly. However the show guide still hasn't turned up,
and I want to go to the NEC on Friday...

Entirely OFF-t: BB could you contact me please? by
YarnWright
BB,
Were the 'numbers' for Guiding Light even on today? They broke in
with 9-11 stuff and I didn't see them, unless they were on earlier and
I missed them.... IF they were on, did you get the numbers and the
presenter?
Thanks!!!!

Stitching and Cutting Steeks by
Joni
I am knitting a vest with the use of steeks for the front and armhole
openings. My next step is to stitch and cut the steeks. How do I
stitch and cut the steeks with all the stitches still on the circular
needle? Seems like I should be binding off stitches before I sew and
cut. Thanks in...

Greyhound Sweater? by
Gina Bull
Congratulations Eileen on getting your Pom! That reminded me ... my sister
has adopted a greyhound. She lives in Ohio, and evidently the dog does need
sweaters for those winters. I'd like to *crochet* one for her, but so far
the only patterns I've found have been a square with a belly-band...

A crazy video with knitting by
Shillelagh
For those of you who don't frequent the Yahoo group, here is a link to a
music video on YouTube, that has knitting in it. But not in the way you
might think. It's okay for viewing, nothing raunchy in it. A woman from my
local knitting group posted the link...

Sweatery goodness by
Wooly
The A$ aran is finished except for darning in ends and blocking. I've
got some fair humidity today so I may not block it tonight, but I'll
definitely get the ends darned in and take some (crummy) pre-block
photos.
Yay!

Trivia by
spampot
Both on and off-topic: We visited the Rug-Hooking Capital of the World
-- Cheticamp on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, and saw some truly
amazing concoctions. I'd only seen it done with strips of cloth, but
these people sitting there at frames with balls of yarn attached,
hooking calmly away...

Help, please, with knitty toe-up socks formula by
spampot
Maybe it's the migraine drugs, but
http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTuniversalsock.html
has me confused:
Determine number of sts at end of Toe and Heel: Multiply D by 0.4.
If D is odd, round to nearest odd number;
if D is even, round to nearest even number: _______ (E)
If it is odd, round...

I'm looking on advice for how to do the colors changes on the shawl in the

Sunday Morning by
Wooly
Not much has changed here. I found a 16" bamboo circular to make my
Aran's sleeves on. I will have to change to DPNs shortly but I think
I can handle it now.
Still spinning froghair to be turned into 3-ply for a sweater (takes
forever, shouldn't as it isn't much actual wool to be spun!).
Was up...
