BBL: Heading out soon... OT by Tinkster
Just a quick note to remind you guys I'll be away from the newsgroup for a little while... About a week. Fate slapped me with a horrible cold a couple of days ago, and it went straight to my lungs, so I'lve mainly been sleeping and trying to take care of myself. At least I didn't get that nasty...

AD: Red, White Squirrels and Bow-ties on JB by Susan B.
I'm having a fun week in the studio-making beads with friends and planning a new local beadmakers guild. I posted 4 new sets today on JustBeads. My two squirrel sets are combinations of swirls and squiggles - wanted to work on stringer control, and that was the result. And then some funky...

Towards the Torch.... by Sjpolyclay
Ok, so I'm thinking that in 2004 I will be ready to invest money and time into new beady directions. I'm wanting to try more with metal, and the kids are old enough to respect torches and glass, so I'm prepping for the plunge. I know how to go about the wire and PMC stuff, but please point me in...

Custom Orders by mkahogan
Since I don't need to do it anymore, I am not doing custom work anymore. I really hate having to do something. It is so much more fun tto do something because I want to. I just finished 2 necklaces and 2 bracelets for someone. That is the end of it. I don't like having that censor sitting on...

moldavite and PMC by Christina Peterson
I wonder if I could set moldavite in PMC plus and fire it. It does have bubbles in it, and it is related to glass (cosmic made glass), but after coming through space, I would expect it to be stable. I would hope the firing temp wouldn't degrade those strange bumps. Tina

Tuscon Gem & Mineral Show by Kyla
I got a flyer in the mail about the Tucson Gem & Mineral show, and I'm thinking about going to it (assuming DH gets a job in the next month). BUT, the flyer reads like an ad for Thunderbird supply, and I was wondering if this is just their capitalizing on the show, or if the show is...

paua ideas by Jan NZ
I have been enjoying the paua discussion and agree with Marissa that there are some very overdone pieces of paua in the tourist market in NZ. I enjoy the plain shell and have my own necklace which always gets compliments and I have been asked to do for a tourist shop but the idea of doing hundreds...
