who was looking for the "fabric folding pen"??? by
CNYstitcher
I just got a catalog from Home-Sew and they carry the pens. They sell
for $8.75, item number is N486 and their phone number is 1-800-344-4739.
I checked the website (www.homesew.com) but couldn't find the pens on
there at all.

Yerrrrrr great! by
Lynne in Toronto
I've been trying to find a few minutes all day to write this note. No
time on my lunch hour, and no breaks, so it will be brief.
Just wanted to say that I am often amazed by the talent of the women on
this group. There are so many of you...talented in your quilting,
talented in other ways. And...

Help! Does anyone know of a white permanent pen that.. by
Gail Jas
Does anyone know of a permanent pen that can be used on dark fabric?? I am
making a jazz quilt for SO who is a musician, and want to use some of his
original compositions in a few blocks. My background fabric is a deep blue
salt batik. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

OT - Quiltmaker magazine? by
Johanna Gibson
Hello folks,
I have issue 88 of Quiltmaker magazine, and it contains part 3 of
the America the Beautiful Quilt which I believe was made by our own
Mickie Swall. :)
After looking at the pattern, I'm sure I have enough of the right
sort of fabrics in my stash, and I'd like to have a go at it.

Bernina 830 by
Sylvia
I bought a used Bernina 830 several years ago and it is an absolute
workhorse. Sews and sews and sews. It also MQs in every direction with
only a rare missed stitch when I'm going backwards (that was a major
problem with my previous machine). The only thing that fooled me was
that I had to buy a...

fusible vs. heirlooms, long by
Polly Esther
If you are creating a quilt that you hope will hold its beauty a long time,
you may want to consider this quote in QNM Oct 03.
"...the chemical composition of the adhesives used in these quilting
products generally is not identified nor has their long-term performance
been evaluated...decisions...

Feece as Backing Question (longish) by
Hi,
My younger sister was in town briefly and stopped by my place. Of course
my dining room table had my huge cutting mat and quilty stuff covering
it. She starts asking me questions about quilting. She had just bought
a sewing machine and a book and fabric for a quilt. (She is...

Proud of an American quilting young lady. by
memere
I have just heard on CNN about a young lady making quilts to
comfort the families of war dead. This made me so proud and it touched
me very deeply, I still have tears in my eyes.
Her name is Jessica Porter from Tampa Florida. I saw several
quilts that she made with a lot of other quilters and...

Update on library quilts by
Eldrid
Some of you may remember that I asked about a library quilt project on this
forum some time ago, and Mickie, who was involved in the project I had read
about, gave me lots of information.
The superiors at my DD's library have not embraced the idea with enthusiasm,
in fact, the attitude has been...

Block Butler panels? by
Sandy Foster
Has anyone used these? I've just done a bit of reading about them, and
they sound really interesting -- especially for someone like me who has
limited space for a design wall. Comments?
