Quilts FA by
Victor Atkins
Hello,
I have a few quilts from Lancaster PA for auction on Ebay. Is this the
right group to post a listing about them? I don't want to break any of
the group rules, or offend anyone. Please let me know. These are
beautiful quilts and I'm just looking for a good place to let folks
know about...

one block quilt by
Mystified One
I have a printed block that measures 7 1/2 X 8 3/4. I'm thinking about
doing a bunch of different borders to go around the block to make it into a
nice wallhanging. I'd like to do seminole, as well as a couple small plain
borders, and I'd love for the border to help the rest to really...

OT Ebay scam restitution by
Taria
I just got a call about an Ebay transaction from several
years ago. DH was ripped off for $20. Turns out lots
of folks got scammed by this guy so someone took the
thing and ran with it. I guess he has was found guilty and
served at least some jail time and is paying folks back!
Good to know that...

Gift idea help! by
Cina
Tonight, I finally finished that horrible quilt with the glowbug
thread. Hooray! I'll get around to pics of it eventually, but for now
I'm just going to bask in the gladness of it being DONE!
I sincerely thought I wouldn't be able to finish this quilt, but a
lovely woman who teaches at the LQS...

Holiday Celebrations (on and ot) by
Charlotte Hippen
It's amazing how much more enjoyable little kids make the holiday
celebrations. I have nephew who is 20 mo. Christmas this year at my folks
(yesterday) was so much fun. We all enjoyed watching the boys (nephew and
my 3 yr old) play together. It was the first time my nephew played in the
snow! ...

OT - Healing prayers, please by
Jalynne
This is just a bad year for illness, isn't it? DD woke up yesterday with a fever,
and it still hasn't broken this morning. She was vomiting yesterday, too, which has
me worried. We're having to force liquids and are struggling to keep her bundled
up....she just doesn't want the blankets. She...

An idea when giving quilts as gifts by
AliceW
I know this suggestion may be too late for this year, but I was just
wrapping up my quilts that are going to family members for Christmas and I
wanted to include laundering instructions along with the gift. I was a bit
leery about the black and white quilt even though I had pre-washed all...

OT - New Tree! by
frood
My darling DH just brought home a 7' pink tree for me! We had looked at them
last week, but I said they were too expensive. He said he went back today,
and they were on sale, plus he got the floor model, so they knocked off
another 20%.
Oh, it looks just perfect in the Fab 50s room. Why don't you...

I actually SEWED something today by
Ann Adamson
Yippee!
I made one fancy pillowcase for my oldest son for Christmas!
It came out so nice, and it's cute, all in baseball fabrics.
Friday afternoon I will make one for my youngest son.
He is a soccer man.
Wow, that was fun!!

SM features opinions please by
Charlotte Hippen
I also would like sewing machine advise. My current machine is working
fine, but it is over 25 years old so it doesn't have any of the nice new
options, and some of the built in stitches aren't working properly. It
works fine for piecing and not bad for quilting, but it is extremely heavy.
And a...
