Happy dance by SlinkyToy
I've got yarn for sale right now - the only problem is I don't have enough of any one colorway or weight or type to make a project. Some hanks are large enough that a thrifty knitter could eke out shorty socks, or cap/mittens for a kid, but... With luck I *will* be able to produce project-sized...

Regarding 'queens' in RCTY by Noreen's Knit*che
Rotflmao, I just had a thought after skimming through the posts, and of COURSE we can't have queens here at RCTY.... we are NOT only women here! And... if the men became 'queens'... we'd be talking a whole different GROUP! LOL, Hugs, Noreen Noreen's Knit*che

Hey Noreen by SlinkyToy
FWIW, I knit 2-ply laceweight yarn on 4mm needles. I'm a tight knitter. I'd probably knit cobweb on 3.5mm needles. YMMV of course ;)

help with reading a pattern by Laurie
This is for a crochet sweater but the confusion isn't in the crochet technique, it is in the pattern so you knitters may be able to answer my question too. I'm crocheting a lovely cable cardigan. A Leisure Arts pattern (Classic Crocheted Cardigans). As with most patterns, there are instructions...

Improving stainless steel knitting needles. by AGRES
I have found that by abrading a band behind the points of my commercial SS knitting needles I can vastly improve their usability and "friendliness." With the improved needles, my problems with dropped stitches disappears and my knitting speed significantly improves. In addition, tight stitches...

Discussion Topic: Knitting and Purling by CMM PDX2
Never noticed any difference - and I've looked, too! g I've also checked the different sections on items partly knit back-and-forth, and partly knit in the round. That because of experts saying your gauge knitting in the round is usually looser than knitting flat. Well, I must be strange; I...

Well, I just finished this morning. I took the whole thing apart after reading all of your suggestions here and started over again.
