The Star in the Lone Star by
MerryStahel
Okay, the Star in my Lone Star is machine quilted. Now I need to put on a
binding, and do some hand quilting in the white squares and triangles that
surround the Star.
I will post pictures when I get the binding on.

what to do with fabric that feels like crap by
Medium Gnome
Somehow quilting fabric that feels like crap sneaks its way into our stashes
occasionally and stays for a very long time.
What do you all do with it after you've decided not to use it in a quilt?

OT Webpage question by
Hi all,
I have been wanting to put together a webpage to post quilt and other
pictures on.
I have seen some of your personal webpages. Do any of you use a webpage
template that I can just put info in and use? Where can I get it? I
already have a webserver (my DH's) so using webshots, etc. is...

I am getting a lot of spam mail- no thank you, I do not need Viagra yet and
my hair is plenty thick. DH thinks it is coming from being part of a
group. How do you change you email address so that people can't
automatically send stuff to you- e.g., you add nospam into your address.
thanks much

Old quilt repairs by
duh who
I have a few quilts made by my grandmother that need repair. The pieces
have come apart near the borders (like, maybe into the center by about a
foot), the back lining has torn, etc.
The batting is cotton (of course, since I don't think polyester was around
back then).
To repair these, what is...

Please educate me by
Nell Reynolds
I just found out that some people pay by the received line. How do I
respond/stick in my 2 cents worth/rebut/confirm previous messages without
including the entire previous message?
I have noticed that sometimes a response in inserted in the middle of the
previous message, or only a phrase or two...

Ok! A friend bought a lone star at an estate sale. It was only the star, she
couldn't figure out how to square the quilt up to border it and asked if I'd
do it for her. I thought it'd be no problem, so I said yes. Let me tell ya,
IT'S A PROBLEM NOW. lol
I need help trying to get the triangles...

Block Butler (design wall) by
The Brown Family
Have you seen the new Block Butler design wall, tacky on both sides and
leaves no residue on the walls. Looks like I may have to get this. My LQS
has just got some in. Take a look.

Quoting Frank by

Tonight I saw this at Wendy's question "What does the quilt on your bed look
like?". Since the subject got so many very interesting confessions, you
might not have had time to read the whole thread and you may have missed
Frank Reid's response. It is precious for all quilters, here it is -

Question about Wonderunder by
C. Mathews
How do you keep from getting that stuff all over the iron and ironing board.
Please don't tell me to use a pressing cloth..then I just glue everything to
the pressing cloth.
There must be a trick to this.

Thoughts on arrival of new machines by
Valkyrie
As I have been reading the NGs having to do with sewing a thought all of a
sudden occurred to me. The decisions involved, waiting for and arrival of
new machines (often referred to as my/our baby) is much like that of the
arrival of a much anticipated child. I know writing out that check after...
